LOS ANGELES - Scott Peterson mistress Amber Frey has more man trouble.

Well, actually, this time it's the men who have Amber trouble.

More than four years after Frey swore that a 29-year-old Fresno,
Calif., man fathered her first child, and she nailed him for child
support, a DNA test says it isn't so.

Hairstylist Anthony Flores is off the hook for $175-a-month in kiddie
maintenance after a genetic test showed a local nightclub owner is
actually the 4-year-old girl's daddy.

Neither Frey nor real papa Christopher Funch, who owns Porky's in
Fresno, could be reached for comment yesterday.

An employee at the bar said, "He's got no comment. He's trying to stay
away from you guys."

Frey, a massage therapist from Fresno, was Peterson's mistress when he
killed his pregnant wife, Laci, in December 2003. Her testimony later
helped prosecutors put the fertilizer salesman on Death Row.

But in a Madera County, Calif., paternity suit, Frey fingered the wrong
man.

"Amber Frey belongs on one of those Maury Povich 'Who's my baby's
daddy?' shows," Flores' lawyer Glenn Wilson said yesterday. Flores said
he feels "foolish" and "betrayed."

"She was very convincing when she told me I was the only person who
could be the father. ... I want an apology."

Court Commissioner Nancy Staggs ordered the county to stop collecting
support from Flores. He'll receive a refund of money paid since Funch
passed the paternity test in late June.

Wilson alleged that Frey deliberately lied in a bid "to get him
[Flores] to marry her" after he dumped her.

Flores told Frey he was "not ready to be a father" and gave her $450 to
pay for an abortion, Wilson says.

But in her recent tell-all book, "Amber Frey: Witness for the
Prosecution of Scott Peterson," Frey said she never considered
terminating the pregnancy.

"Well, she took the money," says Wilson. "It says a lot about her
credibility."

Wilson said he thinks Frey "had to have known" all along that she had
slept with Funch around the time her daughter Ayanna was conceived.

Still, Frey took Flores to court for support and when he fell behind at
times, the state took away his driver's license. Frey also called him
"a deadbeat dad" in interviews.

Flores, who still calls the child "my daughter," fought for visitation
with the child. When Frey refused, Wilson says he notified the court he
planned to seek a paternity test. Soon, Wilson was notified that, "lo
and behold," Funch was the daddy.

"Anthony is hurt and stunned by this," Wilson says. "He still refers to
the child as 'my daughter.' And his mother thought she had a
grandchild. They were lied to."

I think men could just look at her and BAM! she'd get pregnant.

She's lucky as hell she didn't get pregnant by Scott Peterson. What a
mess that would have been.

That hag better pay this guy every cent of it back.

She's not lucky -- the poor would-be kid is lucky (imagine the life that kid
would have). I'm sure Amber would have loved being pregnant by Peterson --
she'd be pumping the family for child support, pumping the press. I guess
pretty much pumping everything that walks by as well.

$450 would buy a lot of condoms, or better yet a down payment on a
vasectomy if he's "not ready to be a father".
Frey might be a whore, but he's a self-destructing idiot.

"Flores, who still calls the child "my daughter," fought for visitation

Waiting this long to have a paternity test wasn't real smart, but I
wonder what tipped him to request one now. Arguing over visitation is
one thing, establishing paternity is another.

And of course, the real loser in this is the kid- who has an amoral
slut for a mom and is about to lose the only father she's ever known.
Wonderful. Good going, Amber.

Yea, he's cupable too. BUT, Amber needs to get her tubes tied or
something. Perhaps she should quit reproducing different men's babies.

Hope he sues her for fraud.

So much for all those people who defended Amber, calling her an honest,
simple, girl stuck in a bad situation.

They're all whores. Every last one of them.

Please, give me a break. Amber was a "massage therapist"? Yeah, right. And
she banged several guys at once, including a double murderer and the owner
of a bar called "Porky's". Man, does she ever know how to pick 'em.

Two words: Mark Geragos.

The defense is scratching at anything, to defame her. She may
be stupid, but she wasn't lying about those taped phone calls.
But....if they can get a retrial and at least one jury holdout, he
goes free.

I think she's both savvy and stupid. Smart enough to "hang" Scott
Peterson with his own words. How many of us could have carried
on with those taped phone calls, for that long?

The fact that she accepted $175 a month child support shows that
it was given semi-willingly, by someone who also thought he was
the parent. I guess she thought the father was the guy she had
the most sex with?

Not me. But then I couldn't have believed all that crap Amber was
throwing at the guy, or sustained such a level of righteousness for all
those hours of inane accusations while Scott replies "um" and "yeah" and
"aw honey".

I'm not sure this involved any smarts. Just tenacity.

Or the guy who was the least likely to balk, the one who might have
cared a bit, and learned to love the kid.

Or the guy who wasn't going to embarrass Amber or the child by being the

owner of a bar called Porky's.

The sad thing is that Flores would probably make the better father (if
Amber let him see the kid for all the money he shelled out.)

True.

I googled Porky's, and it seems to be a combo BBQ place and
wild bar. Apparently she lived with a male stripper at one
time.....I wonder which one that was?

She's dim and a slut to be sure, I don't think its fraud. She must of
really thought it was the hair stylist, because she would have been
getting a lot more than a measely $175 per month out of a nightclub
owner.

why wouldn't she have gone after the porky's business owner? her
monthly dollars would have been higher

Really? Hum. I didn't realize that a retrial was a possibility for him.
I'm not being sarcastic; I just thought that it was pretty much over
for Peterson. And anyway, it's not like *anyone* has to scratch real
hard to make Amber look bad.

If they can get an apellate court to find a flaw in the case/verdict,
they can get a retrial. The chances are *very* slim that will
happen, but they're trying.

You're right that it's easy to make Amber look bad, but there's
lots of women with that kind of history: naive and gullible.

I'm surprised he gets out of paying child support. In a lot of states
even if it's found to be paternity fraud, they make you pay anyway,
"for the good of the child."

If you have been acting as the father, that's true.

In this case, he has not. In fact, she blocked him from doing so.

also apparently the real bio father was willing to pay child support -
so that might have played a bigger part of the decision

If there's a lawyer willing to take on a retrial, it must mean that the
Petersons found some money *somewhere*. I thought they'd maxed out all
their relatives already.
