The more success enjoyed by all the more chance for a productive society, less
crime and all the good that goes along with it. There is good in everyone and I
know I rant at the liberals on this newsgroup and I know I come across to some
like an asshole. And maybe I am one. I'm not concerned how i'm viewed. But I
know this...I'm a Christian and I'm for Gay rights pure and simple. I'm for
quotas to help those that have been wronged in the past. And I abhor what Trent
Lott said and I hope those that he offended have room to forgive him for what
he said. But the garbage you spewed here is unforgivable and makes me sad that
you call yourself a conservative or american. At least your not a true
conservative but more a person of hate.

The Scottish Painter
There was a Scottish tradesman, a painter called Jock, who was very
interested in making a pound where he could, so he would thin down his paint
to make it go a wee bit further.
As it happened, he got away with this for some time, but eventually the
Presbyterian Church decided to do a big restoration job on the roof of one
of their biggest churches. Jock put in a bid and because his price was so
competitive, he got the job.
And so he set to, with a right good will -- erecting the trestles and
putting up the planks, and buying the paint and ... yes, I am sorry to say,
thinning it down with turpentine.
Well, Jock was up on the scaffolding, painting away, the job nearly done,
when suddenly there was a horrendous clap of thunder, and the sky opened
and the rain poured down, washing the thin paint from all over the church
and knocking Jock off the scaffold to land on the lawn, among the
gravestones, surrounded by telltale puddles of the thinned and useless
paint.
Jock was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he fell
on his knees and cried: "Oh, God! Forgive me! What should I do?"
And from the thunder, a mighty Voice spoke: "Repaint and thin no more!"
