I've heard about this show, how it's some sort of erotica and even has male
nudity (rear at least) on occasion. Have any of you ever seen the show? Is it
worth watching?

Basically I think it's Canada's version of such Skinamax staples as
"Erotic Confessions" and "Love Street." I've seen at least one episode
that features a lesbian plot. I assume that it's edited for US basic
cable, though I know that you can show more flesh on Canadian broadcast
TV.

Lots of naked male butt shots in the show last night. This particular story was
about a female voyeur who liked to watch her gay neighbor have sex with various
partners through her window. Gorgeous men too. I think overall they're
well-made erotic stories. If you're looking for explicit sex, a porno would
work better. My main complaint though is that they're riddled with commercials.
There's probably 15 minutes of actual show. Disappointing.

I saw last night's episode, and the amount of male nudity and gay sex was
shocking, especially considering that TV-14 rating! It makes me wonder how much
the uncensored Canada version shows.

On QAF I often get the sense that they just throw two guys together and that
alone is supposed to be hot. This show really went out of it's way to show such
passion, mystery, and eroticism. No fast-jerk camera angles, no strobe lights,
no loud, numbing music. It was so, so, so arousing...I can't believe this is
airing on the Oprah network.

Anyone else who wants to see this, Oxygen is rerunning the show on April 13th.

It's been airing here on the west coast Sundays at 1 a.m PST. As Peter J
pointed out, this particular episode is airing again April 13th.

I agree...on the hot stuff meter, this episode was pretty wild. I just wish the
show was longer though <sigh> Apparently there is an audience out there
interested in watching tasteful erotic shows like "Bliss".

It was pretty good! I watched Susan Johansen for the first time before Bliss,
then E-love after it. What fun late night TV!

I do need someone to explain the very ending of the show, though. Spoiler

Presumably they had sex, but he was face down and she was behind him. What did
I miss?

You know....I wasn't that clear on what she had done to the guy either. Unless
she had a strap-on dildo, she wouldn't have been able to do much but rub on the
guy's butt. Maybe this was supposed to illustrate that as the guy suggested,
she became a body devoid of emotion and attachments. It's a guess.

BTW, I'm getting into that E-love show too. Probably because I've known quite a
few people (including myself) who have met people online.

As the man himself said, she was obsessed with him and his dick. His dick was
his weapon because he used that to make sure he never had love, only sex, and
all of that psychobabble. By dry-humping him, with him face down, she was
taking all control away from him, she was in charge. She was basically fucking
him up the ass, and declaring her sexual independence.

It was so refreshing to see such subject matter, because you can see all the
softcore lesbian/het exploration on tv, but never any real softcore gay male
stuff. The man's blase attitude towards not only his relationships with men,
but seducing her, was, while dramatically powerful I guess, also very sexually
liberating and free in a way that never gets across on most US softcore because
it's always some sort of cheap-jack implant-fest or pretentious Zalman King
shit, all directed at the straight male only. I hope, although it is pointless,
that someone from Cinemax or Showtime sees this and tries to come up with their
own more adult series, because the stuff they have on their channel now is pure
crapola and not arousing in even the slightest sense.

If you liked that "Bliss" episode, there's a wonderful French short film out
there called Une Robe d'Ete, or something like that. Far more lighthearted and
not as self-important, but with a similar freewheeling and passionate sexual
air. Sundance Channel runs it sometimes.

All right, the more I thought about it, the more I wondered if I missed
something, like she was really a male! LOL! But then I discounted that,
because she said to him outside of the public restroom, "We both know I don't
have balls."

Yeah, I want to find out when that's on again. I think the one I saw was so
interesting, in a voyeuristic sort of way. ;)

I agree, there needs to be more non-straight male oriented programs such as
Bliss available. Most of the porn I've watched made me laugh more than it
aroused. Too graphic for my taste. Plus the guys always look creepy and dirty -
certainly nothing I'd fantasize about.

Thanks for the suggestion about Robe d'Ete.....I'll keep an eye open for it.
