I just heard it on the news locally. I think her name was Taylor Summers. Not a
mainstream celeb, but thought it was worth posting about. I guess she was
murdered in some sick sexual ritual. I couldn't find any articles, anyone have
any links.

Did Porn Star Die During Making Of Snuff Film?
Photographer Charged With Murder
POSTED: 7:36 am CST March 24, 2004
UPDATED: 2:18 pm CST March 24, 2004
WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Montgomery County, Pa., district attorney Bruce
Castor told reporters Wednesday morning that his office won't rule out that
porn actress Taylor Summers died during the making of an apparent snuff film
in Conshohocken.
Castor's office has charged a Montgomery County photographer with the death
of the 23-year-old Canadian porn actress, who was missing for nearly a
month.
Castor said Anthony Frederick of Eagleville, Pa., was arrested about
midnight Tuesday night and charged with first- and third-degree murder,
possession of an instrument of crime, unsworn falsification to authorities,
and abuse of a corpse.
Authorities said Frederick was last seen with the actress and model, born
Natel King, on Feb. 29.
Castor said that based on evidence presented in an affidavit, he wouldn't
discount that Summers' death was caught on camera.
"The murder took place as part of a sexual bondage fantasy," Castor said. He
also said that Summers may have been at a "snuff shoot" where a person's
death is simulated on film.
According to the affidavit, which was obtained by NBC 10, in Philadelphia,
Summers' body was found with a bondage ball in her mouth and bondage gear on
her person.
The document said the police believed they found photographs taken by
Frederick of Summers wearing similar gear.
Police also said they found bondage equipment at Frederick's Conshohocken
studio.
Castor said that her body, which was found Tuesday in Whitemarsh Township,
was identified from a tattoo and birthmarks.
Summers had gone to Conshohocken for a late February photo shoot. Her car
was found parked on a local street a few days later.
Her naked, decomposing body was found Tuesday in a ravine near the
Schuylkill River, about 30 feet from a road in Whitemarsh Township.
Castor said Frederick had taken about 20 photos of King with another woman,
Jennifer Mitkus, who allegedly is Frederick's assistant.
Mitkus has also been charged with unsworn falsification and hindering
apprehension.

Photographer Arrested for Natel King's Murder
By: Scott Ross
03-24-2004

WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Anthony Joseph Frederick was arrested around
midnight last night, charged with murder of Natel King, aka Taylor Sumer, an
aspiring porn starlet who had been missing since February 29. Frederick is
being held without bail.

Frederick claims that he is innocent, sticking to his story that he last saw
her when she left his photography studio after being paid $900. Frederick
claims that when he last saw King, she was on her way to the Pub, a local
restaurant on Feb. 29.

Montgomery County and Canadian authorities searched King's known cell phone,
bank, and email records and were unable to conclude.

King had suffered multiple stab wounds in her chest, neck, and both hands.
An autopsy report released today declared her death a homicide.

Kingąs body was found yesterday on an embankment after she had been missing
for over three weeks. She was found with a ball-gag in her mouth, and there
were drapes near her body that police identified as backdrops in photos that
Frederick has taken.

Besides the ball-gag, pieces of rope and a "chain with small clips that can
be tightened with tension screws," described in the police report have led
some to associate the murder with BDSM.

Susan Wright, spokesperson for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom
(NCSF), an organization to educates the public about the BDSM community,
says hat it's unlikely the murder had anything to do with responsible sex
play.

łThis sounds like someone who lured a woman in who didnąt know the industry,
it doesnąt sound like SM,˛ Wright told AVN.com. łThereąs nothing to indicate
that this was in anyway consensual this is simply a tragic murder.˛

Frederick was also charged with the abuse of a corpse and possession of a
knife and was in custody without bail, and lying to authorities.

The woman police say was his assistant, Jennifer Mitkus, was also charged
with lying to authorities and as well as hindering apprehension. She was in
jail in lieu of $100,000.

King, a Canadian who booked her own work for the most part, is said to have
arrived in Conshohocken, a suburb of Philadelphia, on Febraury 28.

Frederick claims that he met King in the early hours of February 29 at the
Hampton Inn in Oaks, Pennsylvania, where he completed two separate photo
shoots with her, one of which he described to police as being łlight
bondage.˛

Frederick and King then traveled to the Perkiomen Hotel, where they picked
up Mitkus before traveling in seperate cars to 105 West 3rd Ave., where they
began a photo shoot in the apartment's basement.

Frederick was known to have used the basement previously for bondage photo
shoots, reportedly always at night. Police records document that Frederick
had been brought to their attention once before - when one Tiana Hunter
filed a complaint after Frederick failed to pay her for a bondage shoot on
January 31 of this year.

Frederick claims to have erased the pictures he had taken at the 3rd Ave.
address.

Police discovered an unattributed handwritten poem at the 3rd Ave. address
that reads: łCut with a knife/ Blood does flow/ You may bleed out/ Death
coming on slowО

Frederick was not only a photographer, he also dabbled in poetry, posting
poems such as "Cut to the Soul," a poem about a man who has lost everything
and now has only hate, at TopPoetry.com. In the aforementioned poem
Frederick writes, "he shouts so cold and hard; from the soul god, forgive me
vengence, but let us prey."

Frederick has reportedly contacted other women in the adult industry via
email. He often posted his photography, including some macabre photographs
such as "Serial K," on various Websites using the handle Anton762.

Suicide is done with consent, yet it is still against the law. In this case
the harm would cause death, that's why they won't legalize it.

Not the first. I recall reading something about this story in
"Details" in the late 90s:
(from http://www.tranquileye.com/historyofporn/snuff.html)

April 1999: German Duo Convicted of Making Snuff Film

Two men in Germany were recently sentenced to life imprisonment for
committing murder while producing a snuff film. It's the first such
conviction ever. The men filmed themselves sexually assaulting and
torturing a 21-year-old woman for a snuff film they had hoped to sell in
America for $16,000. Frankfurt-based prosecutor Job Tillman says there's
a ready market for films depicting violence against women and
children -- especially in America. Although one of the men is appealing
the ruling, the other says he views jail as an opportunity to work on
himself and his problems.

Michael Leidig writes 4/13/99 from Vienna for the Daily Telegraph, a
London newspaper:

Ernst Dieter Korzen, 37, and Stefan Michael Mahn, 30, [videotaped]
themselves sexually assaulting and torturing a 21-year-old woman in
1997. The victim died before the production was complete and the pair
kidnapped a second woman to finish the video. But she escaped and
alerted authorities, who arrested the men.

Wolfgang Rahmer, the chief prosecutor, told the court: "From my
experience this represents a new depth in perversion. You see the victim
begging for her life, pain being inflicted and massive sexual torture."

The court was told that the murdered woman, Jueleyha Akpinar, was
working as a prostitute in Cologne when she met the two men in November.
They offered her drugs and money to go with them to the remote bungalow
in Kierspe-Roensal, near Hagen. A lack of direct evidence had previously
led to widespread scepticism over the existence of a snuff movie
industry, with many writing it off as an "urban myth". But Wolfgang
Rahmer said he had no doubt that such an industry existed.

Both men were jailed for life in a secure psychiatric institution. Judge
Hoerst Werner Herkenberg said Korzen should not expect his case to be
re-examined for at least 18 years, and that Mahn would have to wait at
least 15.

Further down the page:

September 27th, 2000

NAPLES, Italy, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Police said on Wednesday they had
arrested eight Italians suspected of belonging to a child pornography
ring that traded videos over the internet, including film of Russian
children who were abused to death.

The material, which was ordered over the internet, cost between $400 and
$6,000 for each video or disc depending on the type of film the customer
wanted -- and the more horrific the more costly.

The most gruesome, police said, was code-named "Necros Pedo," in which
children were raped and tortured until they died.

Photographer Denies He Killed Adult-Film Actress
Man Charged With Murder

POSTED: 6:15 pm EST March 23, 2004
UPDATED: 7:19 pm EST March 24, 2004

WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Montgomery County district attorney Bruce

Castor told reporters Wednesday morning that his office won't rule out

that porn actress Taylor Sumers died during the making of an apparent
snuff film in Conshohocken.

NBC 10 has also learned that investigators have obtained a search
warrant to look for a photo collection that may contain evidence
related to her death.

Castor's office has charged a Montgomery County photographer with the
death of the 23-year-old Canadian porn actress, who was missing for
nearly a month.

Castor said Anthony Frederick of Eagleville, Pa., was arrested about
midnight Tuesday night and charged with first- and third-degree
murder, possession of an instrument of crime, unsworn falsification to
authorities, and abuse of a corpse.

Frederick was arraigned Wednesday afternoon and ordered held without
bail. He told reporters afterward that he wasn't present during the
murder. Asked if he was not guilty, he replied, "Yes I am."

Authorities said Frederick was last seen with the actress and model,
born Natel King, on Feb. 29.

Castor said that based on evidence presented in an affidavit, he

wouldn't discount that Sumers' death was caught on camera.

"The murder took place as part of a sexual bondage fantasy," Castor

said. He also said that Sumers may have been at a "snuff shoot" where

According to the affidavit, which was obtained by NBC 10, Sumers' body

Castor said that her body, which was found Tuesday in Whitemarsh

Castor said Frederick had taken about 20 photos of King with another
woman, Jennifer Mitkus, who allegedly is Frederick's assistant.

Mitkus, 29, of Oaks, Pa., has also been charged with unsworn
falsification and hindering apprehension.

He should've used union labor and a SAG member. Maybe if he had she'd be
alive and he wouldn't be arrested. See what happens when you don't use
skilled, union labor? You end up murdering a porn star in a faux-snuff film
gone haywire.

You're actually making Coyote's argument for him. In this case, suggesting
that because it is "wrong" and causes harm therefore suicide is justifiably
against the law is not the response you want to give.

Working in the sex industry in any capacity is a risky business. There
were news reports where I live of a woman who worked for an "escort"
service and was murdered by the customer. The police arrested the guy
almost immediately because the woman always left an address of where she
was going when she went out on jobs. When she had not returned home from
the job by the next morning, her roomate called police. The police went
to the guy's apartment complex, looked around the property, and found
the woman's body after lifting the lid of a trash dumpster.

No, because it causes death. I don't really care about Coyote's argument.
He can think what he wants, my mind is clear what's what. I doubt he'll

Porn in Motgomery County?!?!? Yikes----there are some areas up there
that are quite desolate and some people still refer to Conshocken as a
cow town.

It's a nice part of Pennsylvania, and a respite from the "busyness" of
DT Philly.
