OKay, I'm game...
Actor, been around a while, but only "recently" coming into massive
recognition. He's dabbling in other things (clothing line or cologne
or music or whatever) now. He's become really rich, he's apparently
straight. He has herpes, he tells his potential partners (of which
apparently there are many), and they skedaddle before any bodily
fluids are exchanged.
So... Nice guy, young or youngish, handsome, but not traditionally so
(meaning I think he isn't really "pretty boy" handsome), newly famous
but been around for a while, apparently fit as TC references a tight
ass.
I speak Ted, and I approve the above message ;)

I didn't assume it was an actor. The first name that came to mind was
Michael Phelps.
Same for me.

After I sent it in, and realized I'd written actor, I realized that
TC didn't mention that, though Phelps wasn't who came to my mind.
What's weird is that I didn't see "alot" clues to who he might be.
The usual TC crap has alot of stupid plays on words that are clues to
who the subject is, and this one didn't seem to.
How old is Phelps, 23? That is young, but not youngish. Youngish, to
me, is 30 to 40 in Ted-speak.
"...unlike most of his H-town counterparts"....sounds like a performer
to me.
Who would be an H-town counterpart to Michael Phelps?

Yeah, I only tried my hand at translation because explorer asked.
Didn't ask *me*, but heck, I gave it a try.
I agree about the closeted ones though. I mean, if he's out and
proud, cool beans. He can be all the cranky he wants about the
closeted ones, if he really doesn't like it, then he should "out" them
and get it out of his system.
Granted, I don't think outing someone is a good idea (don't really
care who someone else sleeps with), but ... as my grampie used to say,
"Shit of get off the pot". He whines way too much about it. Neal
Patrick Harris has done alright since coming out, except for the hard
core (he can't play straight if he's gay, make the character gay...
apparently they don't understand it is called *acting* for a
reason).
Wonder how Clay Aiken is going to do. I know two women who absolutely
despise him now (mostly 'cause they are idiots, I never liked the guy
at all, musically).
Yeah, but that doesn't mean "actor". Then again...

Kris
Could that mean Home-town?

I disagree - he won eight medals w/ six golds at the previous Olympics.
He was well-known 4 years ago.

H-town in Tedspeak is Hollywood.
Sorry to correct the Ted translator, but I think H-town means
Hollywood like you'd think, and Ted is saying this guy is NOT
Hollywood. The H-town folks are counterparts in the sense that they
are picking up a lot of women as he is, but unlike him they are in
Hollywood. (As in, "Biden's counterpart in the Republican party is an
incredible idiot.")
Phelps sounds about right.
