Our government can do a LOT to help the Middle Class, our government can do a LOT to increase employment and can do a LOT to improve our general economy. But most American coporations are opposed to our government doing just that. The reason is that with high unemployment, businesses can have their way with the worker and reduce the workers' pay as much as they want. Corporations think that they are being smart with these short sighted and cruel policies, but they're really not that smart, let me explain.

Studies show that the Middle Class' share of income keeps falling more and more every year, but the richest 1%, people like Mitt Romney, their income keeps rising every year. There are numerous reports that document this fact, the Pew Research Center is only the most recent think tank to point this out.

It has now gotten to the point where American corporation are sitting on a pile of wealth so large, literally in the trillions of dollars, a pile of wealth that really boggles the imagination. Yet, despite all that accumulated wealth on the top, these guys are still Hell bent on refusing to expand their business in any way at this point in time in our nation's history, thus keeping the Great Recession going on and on, while at the same time increasing the possibility of another Great Depression happening.

The real reason why our economy is in such a precarious situation is because the Middle Class no longer has any money to spend.

However, there IS a way out of this dilemma. Unions should be strengthened by law. This way, American corporations will be forced to give the American worker a decent raise. With more income given to the American worker, the Middle Class will then be able to buy newer cars, update their old computers, take vacations, e.t.c., e.t.c., e.t.c. You do the math.

With more demand for products, businesses will HAVE to hire more employees and then they will expand more and more, to everyone's benefit, including the benefit of big businesses themselves.

Remember, the last time we had a Great Depression, back in 1929, it is the Republicans who were responsible for it. Because Republicans were in control of every branch of our government back then, with their "trickle down" economics, they shifted wealth ever upwards, a money shift to the top that was done at everyone else's expense, causing our entire economy to crash.

A disasterous economic policy which the Republicans did again, leading up to the economic crash of 2008, when the previous Republican President lost the election. Leading up to 2008, Republicans were once again in control of most branches of our government. Any time Republicans are in charge, they have a bad effect on everyone and they just simply wreck our entire economy. Mitt Romney will do that again, if he gets elected, he wants to keep shifting money upwards, at every one else's expense. Mitt Romney will make it fashionable for the rich to avoid paying any taxes at all, and he will make it fashionable for the rich to keep their money outside of this country, such as in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland, and so on. Republicans are a disaster in the making, they are firmly in the pocket of all those who are the rich and the corrupt.
