Dear me, we are now getting "weather warnings" on the TV about the
current "heatwave" in the SE part of the UK - complete with advice to
go to the national health service website for help about how to cope.

Well - the heatwave is actually daytime shade temperatures of around
30-32C (86-90F), falling to around 20/21C (68-70F)at night. And it's
only been like this since the weekend, and probably won't last beyond
a week or so. Hardly a heatwave, just a few hot summer days.

LOL - the way we overreact in this country must make the rest of the
world laugh. It's like the winter snow - a few inches deep last
winter in London and the capital's entire public transport system
stopped! No buses, no trains. What a joke.

Any day now we will be told we are in a drought situation because it
hasn't rained for a week or so, and there will be a ban on non
essential use of water. Until we get a few inches of rain, of
course, when we will no doubt be put on flood alert.

Hey ho.

There must be a "phobia" word for it. I just looked up weather in
Greek on google translator. Kairosphobia?
