I guess I expected more - I know it's free and all, but what's the real
point of playing the same maps using the half-life engine? I guess I was
expecting some areas revamped - the conversion was just that, no more no
less. Maybe they could have balanced things out a little more, speeded
things up instead of slowing things down, but the project strikes me as
kind of pointless.
Are there any people out there who are playing HL and don't have a copy of
Quake?
I guess when customized maps start coming out, maybe I'll reconsider. But
for the time being, Quake 1 TF still rules.
Anyone with any other points please post - I still haven't played TFC
enough to get at all of it's finer points or problems - but my main
problem is all it can do is water down the TF talent pool into HLer's and
Quakers - and that I don't like...

Sound is better (3d)....Graphics are better....Game is overall better.
But you should only switch to TFC if you are running something more than
Analog Dial-Up.
(Fast analog isnt bad...But not in huge games.)
TFC Net code still needs to be tweaked.
