BREAKING: Massive 40% spike in UK #coronavirus deaths - 873 new
fatalities reported in past 24hrs. Total deaths now 17,382, & that
doesn't include 1000s more in care homes & communities. Terrible news
after a few days of much lower reported deaths.
AJ+ @ajplus 21 Apr 2020 13:35Z
The UK's early #coronavirus death toll was 40% higher than
reported. Early figures showed only deaths in hospitals, but new data
shows almost 1,600 more in nursing homes and elsewhere over that
period. It currently reports 16,550 deaths, but the real total could be
over 23,000.

I saw that. Not sure what to make of it. It suggests a mortality rate
of about 0.2%. But an Ro of ~2.8 means you need 70% of population
infected to reach herd immunity. That suggests 460k total US deaths.
This is not a prediction by the way.
