just impose rationing? It's been done before. In the 1970s there
was limited rationing for buying gasoline. During WWII lots of
things were rationed. So, instead of suffocating the poor and
once middle class with highly regressive taxation in the form of
"Carbon" taxes, credits, trading & auctions, why not just ration?

We banned lawn darts after 3 deaths. If we're literally killing the
entire planet, as you pretend, why don't we ban outdoor heaters
and air conditioners? What's wrong with telling people, DURING
A SUPPOSED CRISIS, that if they want to run a heater or an air
conditioner they need to do it indoors?

Why haven't we banned private aviation yet? It's a luxury toy, a
status symbol. Anyone who thinks that telling them to go fly
First Class on a commercial airliners is "Asking too much"
would be better off ground into Soylent Green anyhow, so why
aren't we doing it?

Joy rides on space ships? Tell Richard Branson, Elon Musk &
the rest to go fuck themselves! We're in a "Climate Crisis." They
were pure evil for wanted to kill the polar bears for entertainment
purposes. No government bailout -- they're banned. Period.

What's wrong with these things?

Why is class warfare better? Why is punishing the people who are
NOT responsible better?

Who cares?

It's better not to chop holes in houses, smash windows and
spray hundreds of gallons of water into them. But if the
house is on fire, it's probably something you might want to
entertain. You pretend the planet itself is at stake here.
Maybe, if you mean it, coming up with a plan that penalizes
the worst offenders more than the most innocent would be
something we need to try.
