America's EV boom goes bust! Lithium and nickel producers begin
mass layoffs and pause multi-billion-dollar projects as US says
no to electric car push
Lithium mines have closed and employees are laid off as demands
for EVs drop
More Americans turned to hybrid vehicles last year than EVs
. . .
How will Joe and Hunter get their PRC bribes now ??? !!!
Look, EVs just SUCK in a number of dimensions - not to
mention the SLAVE LABOR exploding batteries.
The charging infrastructure just isn't, and won't be,
there either. Plus, EVs charge WAY too slow to be
   practical longer-range transport.
Look, the tech just ISN'T HERE YET. Safe batteries for
half the cost, which charge two or three times as fast
and hold at least twice the energy are required. Well,
   AIN'T ANY.
MAY be someday, but not now. Variations on vanadium
flow batteries may be The Trick - but so far they can't
shrink 'em enough (good for home-solar apps though).
Both the facts of chemistry and the limits of engineering
   conspire against us here.
Oh, good supplies of lithium and other EV-related
minerals HAVE been found in the USA of late. BET
the Greenies find ANY AND EVERY EXCUSE to keep them
   from ever being mined.
