Hi everybody,

I see it has been sometime since I have posted to this group. I think the
last post was telling about Google Maps view of Gibraltar back in July.

Well my life has been topsy-turvy since then. I lost my mom due to a heart
attack that month. It was quite a shock for me. I am currently living with
my dad and stepmother until I can get on my feet. I was my mom's longterm
caregiver. She had suffered from juvenile diabetes since the age of 8. I
have my good days and bad days since she passed.

I still hope one day to see The Rock, but I expect my first international
trip outside of the U.S. and Canada will be to the Philippines as that is
where my stepmother is from. A country with a Spanish heritage, but a long
way from Gib.

At any rate, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and hope their Christmas
and New Year's were a good one. Am meeting lots of people from all over the
world at my job (I'm in California), including from Britain, but no one from
Gib yet to my knowledge, but it's only a matter of time, hehe.

I hope everyone is well.

Larry

>Hi everybody,

Nice to hear from you, even with bad news;

Gibraltar is much the same as ever, new real estate developments
underway, occasional arguments with our dear neigbour, although
its shops are cheap.

This newsgroup has been quiet of late, mainly because there has
beeb little about Gibraltar in the international media to bring in
new posters and the old ones have argued with each other
enough that we know our positions well.

I've got a new website that may interest you

http://www.gibnews.net

Which has taken a bit of time and energy to set up.

and you can now listen to GBC radio live on the net

http://www.gbc.gi

Otherwise those things that were still are.
