Could someone give me a good address, in Gibraltar, for simple work that
anybody could do.
No night shift, further on I am willing to do anything that is available.
Please do not come with recruitment services, wemploy etc, because they are
rude and think they are god.
thanks in advance
Fred

you could try safeway.. or one of the gaming companies, to find out

search for Gibraltar.
To start you off you may want to look at companies like belle rock

Thank you!
Thank you!

They are generally looking for people to work antisocial shifts
Safeway is now Morrisons.
At Gibraltar Classifieds, there is a very thriving Employment section
which I know is being very successfull in filling many vacancies
offered by Gibraltar based offshore gaming companies among others.
Fred... You might also care to place your own advertisement here,
offering your services, within the "Jobs Wanted" section. It is all
free to use and you never know... for a few minutes of your time and a
carefully worded Ad, you might just achieve what you want.
This is the address for Gibraltar Classifieds:

Feel free to contact me if you need any help. Meantime... I wish you
all the best Fred!

As told in my first e-mail I do not want to do night shifts more. I have
worked one and a half year for Cassava and they do not have anti-social
shifts but a-social shifts. Working 10 days in a row seems to be normal and
during these 10 days you have to do al kind of shifts: morning, afternoon
and nights. At the end you are 2 - 4 days of and I can tell you, you need
them to recover! And than the show starts again. The average stay at Cassava
is 3 - 4 months and they leave totally exhausted. The discrimination in
salary and people is more than terrible at Cassava.
Bet and win takes people when a big event is on and you can leave after the
event, within your probation time. It is the same as squeezing an orange and
when it is dry they kick you out.
Concerning the recruitment agencies I can tell you that I have sent my CV to
recruitspain.com and wemploy.com. Chris Theaker from wemploy introduced me
at betandwin as a language representative and they have sent me a language
test. (I am Dutch) I have sent the results back and I have not received a
reply since three weeks now. I am very sure that my test was good, because I
am very experienced as a language representative. OK it might be a 'sorry,
we do not need you' but do I have to beg for that answer? Actually I did.
The first two times by e-mail without response and two days ago by phone. A
girl on the line told me that he would call back, unfortunately she did not
mention the year.
Victoria Brittin from recruitspain.com introduced me at red32, but they
wanted a specialized fraud representative. OK so be it, however why didn't I
receive an answer at once. Why did I have to ask for it? It is simple. They
can not make money out of me and than you can drop dead!
On your site is also mentioned an advert for a Dutch representative. When I
went to the website of ambientjobs.com I saw that it was for Barcelona and
London and not Gibraltar as mentioned on your site. When I called them they
told me to send in my CV and than they could have a further look at my
situation. Couldn't they tell me that they only wanted a new cv for their
list, which looks so bright for the bosses?
When you have a look at the websites of all recruitment agencies it is all
glitter and glamour but you will never see the facts behind the scene! Here
you have some, as written above and I know that I am not the only one, as I
have spoken many people from abroad and from Gibraltar and Spain, with the
same results!
I was happy with the answers from Jim (Ministry of employment) and IFC
(Safeway: now> Morrisons) but with spammers like you it only becomes worse.
Thanks for nothing Mr. Cybernest!

> I'm sorry to tell you but your site is nothing more than spam!
Gibraltar Classifieds Online is a site which offers what it says... the
opportunity for people to advertise their For Sales and Wants,
throughout a wide range of subjects, including Employment. It also
provides a popular (visited by over 200 people a day including many
regular returning visitors) platform where people can look at jobs
vacancies and many other advertisements from people offering or looking
for all sorts of things on offer in Gibraltar AND invariably as happens
related surrounding areas of the Campo and the Costa.
How you arrive at defining the site as spam is beyond me... and clearly
you are simply wrong Fred. Anyone visiting the site can make their own
judgement. It is simply a Classified Ads website for Gibraltar... and
the Costa and Campo areas.
> Most of the jobs offered are outside of Gibraltar and I can find the same
> jobs on a recruitment list.
I have just looked at all the jobs on offer and there are 45 jobs in
Gibraltar and 47 jobs in the immediate surrounding area of the Campo
and some stretching up towards Malaga. There are one or two others
admittedly further up towards Malaga and one for Bulgaria! That last
one slipped by me as I normally refuse job submissions unrelated to
Gibraltar or the surrounding areas! So, again, your assessment is a
little off the mark.
> The 'jobs wanted' list is empty, so who will
> have a look there? The same with the 'work from home' list.
The 'Jobs Wanted' list is indeed empty right now. I can only assume
the people who have used this section recently were able to find
themselves a satisfactory job! Placing an advertisement is free Fred.
It would only take you a little effort and a few minutes of your time
to try it out. Strikes me if you had a more positive attitude, you
would decide it is worth giving it a shot. Most sensible people
seriously looking for a job would consider this an idea worth trying.
What do you have to lose?? You might even answer your own question!
> >Snip<<
The rest of your comment is directed at recruitment agencies and I
cannot answer for them, naturally. However, it strikes me, and I
hesitate to be personal, but frankly from your very negative and
somewhat 'off the mark' assessments and comments about my attempt to
help you, that the recruitment agencies you responded to made their own
judgements too.
> I was happy with the answers from Jim (Ministry of employment) and IFC

I'm glad you found Jim's comments helpful. They normally are.
> Thanks for nothing Mr. Cybernest!
Well... there you go! One can please some people some of the time...
etc! It's your opinion Fred... and you are entitled to express them.
Not everyone will agree, I'm sure!
I trust you will find what you are looking for... and wish you every
success.
Sincerely

When posting to alt.gibraltar please do so in ENGLISH as that is
the official language of Gibraltar.
Please do not cross post messages with Spanish language groups.

You clearly know nothing about Gibraltar and should keep your
ill informed nonsense to yourself.
