Any moves to offer Prince Albert the freedom of the city?
Or perhaps even an offer of exile, should this Togo story get out of hand?

I vote we should make him an offer, should he need a port in the event of a
storm. We of small places must stick together!

He might be renamed El Principito Canuto

Why? He already has a quaint name which makes people laugh.

Not aware of it, enlighten me. He seems to be "un pincha uva". Gib mums,
lock your daughters away!

A "Prince Albert" is the name given to a body piercing which traverses a
certain part of the body found exclusively on men.

Well! You learn something every day. Why the name? Anything to do with Vic's
hubby?

Well now, goes to show how out of touch I am with that sacriligious
practice, body piercing. Looks like we were all on the same track all the
same. From Canuto, to Pincha Uva to Doodle Piercing. It's all connected.

He was another frequent client of French bordellos, wasn't he?????

Exactly so! It is said (I imagine few ever saw) that he had numerous
piercings, all out of public gaze, and this particular variety among them.
Hearsay of course. How could you prove such a thing?

I am kept relatively up to date in such fashion - how can I put this
politely - oh what the heck! - through professional exposure to such
matters. Nothing personal whatsoever. Tje only piercings I have ever had
have been through accidental encounters with drawing pins, hammers and nails
and the such.

Apparently few things did. However given the size of her family it may be
safe to assume she may not have been entirely displeased.

I am in an "inidustry" that often sees at first hand the effects, both
aesthetically (or frankly, not) and infectively. But I know no-one
personally who I know to be enthralled by it or engaged financially in the
practice.

I heard of a male, a public servant, who is called to wear a metal badge on
the left side of the chest. He is unable to wear it as it induces "pleasure"
as the badge tabs on some ring going through the left nipple!
