I've got problems with illegal occupants, who gets into my apts at Costa del
sol. They all claim they rent it and will be nicely asked to leave or thrown
out.
I'm not there now and like to trace who's taking my money.

Next problem is to avoid new ones getting in, now we have only thin wooden
doors as was good enough many years. Some there have just one safe
inner-door. Those other iron-bar-doors seem to be practical of several
reasons, but are they enough nowadays, what are they called en Español and
cost to get installed?

Oh I thought Gib was at the end of Costa, when I see U from my balconys,
have visited u many times, taken a part in your living and have considered
moving there. Does such problems not exist on the Rock?

I think Jim's point is that Gib is not part of Spain and thus, your
message, referring specifically to the Costa del Sol, is OT here.

There's a Yahoo group related to the Costa del Sol, if you're
interested.

Gib is a different nation altogether from Spain. You may have noticed border
guards, the need to produce passports, the different language and currency,
etc etc. It so happens that where Spain starts immediately to the north of
where Gibraltar ends is known as the Costa del Sol - though I don't know if
that's strictly true. The bit in the Med which is Spain immediately to the
north of Gib is La Linea, which while still in Andalucia, is also Provinica
de Cadiz. The Costa del Sol seems to me to be substantially Provinicia de
Malaga.

IN any case no, there are no such problems in Gibraltar as you describe. I
am not claiming there have ever been, are not at present or will never be
squatters, but it's generally not a problem. Have you not noticed how common
it is in Spain to see barred windows, yet not at all in Gibraltar?

Perhaps you ought to move to Gib after all. Property prices are higher than
much of the CdS, but it would appear that some aspects regarding of quality
of life are better.

That is indeed true, wheras burglary is part of life in Andalucia, its

Generally cross posted messages between alt.gibraltar and s.c.s.
are a bad idea, the interests and positions are very different.
