Gibraltarians in general have also agreed
to take seriously any proposals from the

Well, in Spain we have of course "los Santos Inocentes" (the Holy Innocents)
on 28th December, which is pretty much the same as April's Fools Day but it
last the whole day, not just the morning.
An "April fool" would be "un inocente" in Spanish.

"Un inocente" would be "an innocent" and "April Fool" would translate to "el
idiota de abril" according to the Spanish I learnt.

Incidentally - beware of literal translations of "¿Como la estás pasando?"
for fear of either causing offence, or getting far more information than you
really need.

FWIW I did it in Babel fish translation http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and
it came out as
"tonto de abril" close enough for me and the original poster "Mr Tont O. D

No, it's definitely Dec 28.

Inocente palomita is the correct term, but most people just refer to
inocentes.
