In all fairness to Jim, he has to say they are.

I can get ham Gear sent from the uk cheeper that i can in Main Street
the who place is a Rip Off. i would tell any body to be carefull of
where you buy from as we still dont have no comsumer rights.

I have seen people who live up the costa reture stuff because it's
fauly only to be told "No refund & And No replacement we have to send
it off the timbucktoo Boss"

a) you can't legally import it unless you have a licence.

b) possession of a transmitter without a licence is a criminal offence
in Gibraltar even if its not used.

c) there are prosecutions and confiscations every year for this.

Make your mind up!

Options (b) and (c), cannot both be correct.

Nick.

However, the point that is not generally appreciated is that the law
is different and possession is illegal rather than use.

But reading your options... The way you wrote them.
Possession of a transmitter without a licence is a criminal offence,
but that law isn't used.
Yet there are prosecutions every year for it.

It was intended as a humorous comment, which obviously went right over
your head.

Lighten up a tad Jim... I'm not *always* out to get you. ;-)

No, just the way you, in your ignorance, read them. The
meaning is quite clear. The law is enforced.

Or you could have written:
Possession of a transmitter without a licence - even if you are not
using it - is a criminal offence in Gibraltar.

If you would like to play The English Game too.

You first old fruit.

Old Nick.

btw: On my last but one visit to Gib. I had transceivers with me -
which I used whilst there - without any licence. Legally.
I do hope that doesn't piss on your bonfire too much old fruit.
