Boredom is the privilege of the satisfied.

Remember the Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times"? Many a
Gibraltarian would wish it were so at home. No indeed it is not all quiet.
Spain continues, despite her statements from time to time, to obfuscate
Gib's development. The latest has been an exclusion for Gib at Spain's
behest and the UK's acquiesence from an EU-wide air transport bill ensuring
access to airlines for the disabled. This is in an attempt to Spain to get
Gib seen as outside the EU. If EU laws do not apply to Gib, how can Gib be
IN the EU?

Of course there is nothing stopping Gib legislating the exact form ofwords
required of the rest of the EU, and this is precisely what Gib has done in
times past.

It's just that when you're used to people shooting at you, when they shoot
at you some more it barely seems significant any more.

You can always foretell when matters are going to quiet in Gib politically
though. It's whenever London and / or Madrid are distracted by other
matters. Hence it went very quiet in Gib after July 7th, and the previous
year around March.

Well, its a newsgroup rather than a 'site' and the posting of HTML
attachments is generally frowned on in newsgroups :)

I think we are all waiting to see what will happen viz-a-viz
the tripartite talks. Metinks they will fizzle out.

At least nobody tried to blame us for that.
