Panorama. Open the News segment, click on the first headline to read the
whole story. Once read, click "next". This doesn't take you to the "next"
article in line. It takes to a randomly chosen "old" news article. So you
have to go back to the original homepage and from there select the "next"
article.

I hate to say this, but there's obviously no shortage of "churreros" in the
industry!

They have changed the software recently, I prefer the new
presentation though. Pity they do not have an RSS feel

OTOH you could right click the story of interest and "open in an other
window" or tab or whatever, and the original is ready for you whenever you
desire.

The new system is a pain in the proverbial A. Having to click everytime you
want to read an article is going backwards to what they used to have.

The Chroc's at it again. The Comment and Opinion columns have not been
updated in over a month. The Tijuana Press syndrome all over again.

Yes, I know that. The point is that clicking NEXT takes you anywhere but.
The previous system was much better. You had all the news right infront of
you. Who wants to be opening windows for every snippet of news anyway?

I do - not only on this site but on all sites, whatever the nature. It
ensures I can always get to any page already viewed without having to reload
it.

could be better?

Of course, I forgot the boys need their breaks. Noddy's Land's got nothing
on you lot.

Yes I do take holidays. It's just that newpaper columns never go missing
around these parts.
I suppose you're, they don't have a staff of hundreds. But then I'd like to
be able to read more on Gib.

Nothing happens in August anyway, its too hot and everyone
is either on the beach or on holiday.

You could of course try my Gibraltar News Online where you will find
the best of all worlds in the sense of News about or related to
Gibraltar, in a well presented and easily navigable format... if I say
so myself! :)

In Gibraltar News Online, I consolidate news items related to and about
Gibraltar, from many News sources on the internet, including naturally,
The Chronicle and Panorama but also other UK and world sources, such as
a direct approved link with the BBC.

The philosophy of the news site is to add value to stories and news
items, as and when I can, adding relevant links and images where
possible.

I also publish Polls where readers can express their views on current
controversial issues affecting Gibraltar.

The navigation is relatively easy, I think... and so I am told by many
readers. It also includes a growing archive which is easily searchable
using keywords, courtesy of a Google Search feature.

An added couple of features offered on the site, is the ability to
comment directly on each news or story item and a "Send story to a
friend" facility, where you can email the link directly to anyone who
you may feel would be interested in reading the item.

You may also perhaps be interested to know, Gibraltar News Online is
now attracting an average of 200 or so Page views a day from around 100
visitors worldwide, with visitor country origins broked down as
follows:

1. United Kingdom 31.14%
2. United States 20.21%
3. Gibraltar 18.08%
4. Spain 9.07%
5. Rest of World (varied) 21.05%

If any of you have any constructive thoughts on how I could further
improve the site, navigation or content, please feel free to let me
know your suggestion.

Finally, I have mentioned this here before... I am also wanting to hear
from anyone who may be interested in writing and contributing to
Gibraltar News Online, with their own views, opinions and perspectives.
I am particularly interested in anyone able to cover the Gibraltar
Sports scene, as this is a subject which is not at all covered online
and for which there is a great demand, particularly from many
Gibraltarians living overseas. So, if you are a budding writer or
journalist... get in touch!

Have you sen today's? Some interesting comment from PC, which should allay
fears put about by his political opponents re the airport shenanigans going
on at the present time. If all is as he states and is no way subject to
interpretation, then things in that regard should be fine. We'll have to
wait and see to be sure of course.

Ah! That Mediterranean weather! Churritos early in the morning with a good
black coffee, later a cool dip at the beach followed by a chiiled tube with
a crispy bread roll and some revilla or tortilla! Yam yam!!

Indeed, and it's beyond me why we have not reached an agreement thus far.
I'm not putting the onus on Gib only, of course.
