If you ask the local police about it the word 'crap' figures
in relation to TETRA. The nearly all have mobile phones as
they cannot rely in the system.

In Europe, nearly everybody is... There's a CE agreement to do so..

And yet the home office in the uk are going for it in a big way. it's
only been 13 years since the last of the home office repeaters moved
off band II to make way for classic FM.

One thing going for it is that all the emergency services are
intergrated on one comm's system.

Not quite. All the world is digital. We live in a quantum world. The quanta
