Gibraltar is getting like Monaco and the Channel Islands, more
exclusive. There is money to be earned, but the landlords know
this and want their cut, and property has become expensive.
However, unlike Saudi you can go for a beer to drown your sorrows
and if it gets too much there is that flight to Luton

It's called market forces. Harsh I know, but what can be done about it? Who
can afford to live there? Well, apparently 30,000 others . . . .
OTOH if you wish to stay around you could buy. Stay around for long enough
to be seen as a permanent rather that a transient and you could qualify for
govt subsidised housing, such as Waterport Terraces currently going up or
the new developemts at or near Rosia which are currently being offered
off-plan.
