ever to make a long story a bit shorter..we viewed 2 apartments
recently 800 pounds /month...and the rent is going up again in 6
months..how do people aford to live here... If i had payed 800 in
manchester or london at least i would have had some decent furniture in
it..maybe even a dishwasher... Cheers

In Manchester you would also have had lots of rain and all sorts
of crap in London as well as the theatres, museums and art galleries
you won't find here but the choice is totally yours, did we kidnap you
and bring you here in chains?
Gibraltar is getting like Monaco and the Channel Islands, more
exclusive. There is money to be earned, but the landlords know
this and want their cut, and property has become expensive.
However, unlike Saudi you can go for a beer to drown your sorrows
and if it gets too much there is that flight to Luton

OTOH if you wish to stay around you could buy. Stay around for long enough
to be seen as a permanent rather that a transient and you could qualify for
govt subsidised housing, such as Waterport Terraces currently going up or
the new developemts at or near Rosia which are currently being offered
off-plan.
