The Daily Telegraph reports today the death of George Sassoon, who dies
on
8th March. The full obituary can be read at
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/03/17/db1701.xml

Among the text is the paragraph;

"(Mr Sassoon) was also a keen student of international affairs,
advocating a
solution to the problem of Gibraltar that involved offering Spain a
reciprocal enclave in southern England - perhaps Dover or Folkestone -
which
would become a centre for bullfighting and other facets of Spanish
life."

I could live with that!

Sounds a reasonable idea. I bought his radio book some years ago
and found it interesting. It says:

"George Sasson retired to a remote sheep farm where he occupies
his time with his computers and amateur radio statation"
