My experience with the LDS printing operation (some years ago) is that
they often create their own fonts, logos, etc. and -- because of their
tax-exempt status -- are VERY careful not to sell or otherwise release
same for others to use. I couldn't even get them to give me some special
fonts free, even when I promised a donation. Maybe things have changed.
You might wish to contact them directly.

Does anyone know what the name of the font used by the
LDS (Mormon) church for their logo, and where I could
get a copy to use in Windows?
To the best of my recollection, the lettering in the LDS Church logo
is based on a type style called Baker Signet.
Church guidelines on the logo, BTW -- unless they've changed recently
-- state that the logo should be reproduced as a complete unit from an
official master, and should not be typeset from scratch. I assume this
is because the exact font used is rare (or proprietary), and/or because
minor variations in the letter shapes and spacing probably would not be
reproduced properly.
The LDS Church uses Palatino these days in most of its publications.
