Anyone know why the Ellis Island site has records only through the 20s.
Where are the records up through the mid 50s which is when people came there
till??? I have asked them but they do not respond to my emails.

Hello Bob,
Ellis Island was closed as an immigrant receiving center in 1924 which
is why the Ellis Island Foundation's database ends with 1924. The New
York passenger arrival records were still kept after 1924 (and are
available on microfilm), but the passengers were no longer inspected at
Ellis Island. These two links have more information...
