immigration entry points?

His name was Andrew Carmichael and he came from Ireland. On
a 1910 Census he says he was naturalized in 1890. Are there
any other ports where he could have arrived or other records
that I can search for which county in Ireland he came from?
From his death certificate I learned who his parents were and
that he was 54 and was born in 1872. Any help will be
appreciated. Many thanks to those who replied to a previous
post.

Where was he in 1910? Or 1900 for that matter?
There were literally dozens of ports, large and small, he
could have entered. Not to mention the Canada/US border
crossings.
Most of those records have to be searched by hand from
microfilm, but you might get lucky at the Olive Tree
Genealogy site.

Websurfer: Have you seen his tombstone? Many US tombstones of Irish
immigrants state their place of origin. Also his church marriage
record, if any (or even church histories or anniversary books).
Children's birth records also ask parent's place of birth, but many
just say country. You might get lucky.
BTW, Ellis Island won't work since it doesn't index manifests before 1892.

On the 1920 census, it says that he immigrated in 1885 or 1887 (tough to
read, looks like the enumerator wrote one and then changed it to the other,
but who knows which was first or last) and that he was naturalized in 1889,
so don't restrict yourself to the 1890 immigration date. The closest match I
can find in the 1885-1890 range is on Ancestry.com:

The "Aud" looks like an abbreviation of Andrew to me. I liked the look of
the Andrew Carmichael arriving in NY in 1887 on the Furnessia, but I was
able to track that family to where they settled in New Haven, CT.
