Hmmm... a lot of geeks like anime, yet an Otaku Code sounds
like a silly useful idea.
Otaku Code v0.001
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What first got you into anime?
OSB Star Blazers
ORT Robotech
OBG Bubblegum Crisis
OLT Liquid Television
OTH other
(etc)
there'd also be a way of listing what portion of any anime you
have seen (BGC* - seen all BGC) your favorite anime male/female
character (3.14 - I like Pai ;) favorite villain (gat - Gato) how
closely tied to rec.arts.anime you are (r++++++ - Enrique Conty) ;)
and who your least favorite character was, etc.
Ways to make it useful might include adding a tag to each
anime you've seen that mentions that you own it, and perhaps a label
saying how willing you are to copy anime for other fans. Also how
many years you've been a fan, Japanese proficiency, how much money you
spend on anime, have any soundtracks, etc?
Useful idea? Anybody willing to do it?
I'm definately a OSB*. I haven't seen it since it was
originally shown -- my goodness, was I young. I was
the only person I knew who ever watched it. All the
other kids at school though I was weird whenever I
brought up the show. (Well then again, all the kids
at school thought I was weird...period. ;)
Do they ever show it anymore? I hardly remember anything
concrete -- lots of images, but no names.
Does anyone know where there is more information or
videos or something on SB? Thanks.
Please remember, this is being posted from alt.geek.
This is a dumb idea. Have you any idea how many different anime
series there are? It will take people hours just to look through the
listings....
Anyway, a lot of the series have already got abbreviations over the
years like BGC for Bubble Gum Crisis, KOR for Orange Road and FSS for
Five Star Stories etc any system you use should use the de facto
TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms)
Cheers,
Ashley.
