Trying my luck to see if anyone is out there... my news server didn't
have any messages for this group.

Well, I'm still here and I think I've seen at least one other pass
through in the last year.

But what do you really expect for a newsgroup relating to a game so
old?

Anyway, did you have a question relating to the game - or were you
just seeing if there really was "life out there"?

Strange, wasn't able to retrieve this message until I un and then
re-subscribed.

Just looking for a bit of life, really. I was hoping someone out there
knew more about whether or not Irrational was working on a X-COM :)

I also follow this group, but it's rather quiet...

Well, there was just an X-Com thread in comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic.

Already got it - fun, but a bit buggy (and combat is tougher, too).

I'd love a big, commercial remake, though.

Not a "possible" one, but if they actually come out with one, then
yes!!! OTOH, I haven't gotten around to playing UFO: Afterwhatsit (the
latest in the After... games) or the newer UFO Extraterrestrials...
Maybe someday.

There just might be. Will post new thread with what's known so far.
