Hello,

Unfortunately I have been a bad boy and bought an illegal version of Worms
Armageddon, doing this however limited my gaming pleasure because I cant use
WormNET, has anyone out there got a solution to this problem because I want
to beat some ass!!

if the game is larger than the average cd then how do you propose they sell
the game???

DVD

I think not, I got it on a cd along with 5 other games:-

Rollcage,
SBK Superbikes,
Turok 2 Seeds of Evil
South Park
Tellurian Defence

So obviously it is only a small game

So your friend loaned you the CD? If so, I wouldn't cosider it warez,
unless your friend copied it onto both computers..... If you paid for it,
then i don't know what to tell you.... Maybe you have to register with
WormNET for functionality.....

There is your problem, without the movies and stuff, you basically have a
'crippled' version that probably isn't capable of Wormnet....

Piracy is still piracy. If you don't like getting flamed then don't go asking
for warez here.

Well, strangely enough, the idea is that only those who *can* be arsed to
save up for it get to use it. It's the principle of *buying things*. I'm
sure I understood that when I was 15...

Because CD printers can put more on a CD than CD writers.

No - the correct answer is that you don't have the whole game. I suspect
you don't have all the music, for instance...

I heard many recent Games use an invalid Table of Contents so they
appear to be ridiculous sizes, but are actually normal size. But
anyway WA is worth buying, it is my favourite game and was worth every
penny! Piracy prevents developers reaping the rewards they deserve
for their hard work.

Or he may have a heavily compressed copy, or one without the complete
range of soundbanks or even both...

So get it for a present or something. Games are a luxury, not a right.

Well, don't banks give interest? Put your 4 pounds a week in the bank for a
few weeks, and soon you can purchase a retail version of the game.

A few WEEKS? Hmm... maybe there's something about British banks I don't quite
understand... :-)

Don't you mean a few YEARS? Or even Centuries at the interest rates you
get for that amount of cash,

What I meant was put his 4 pounds in each week, and after a few weeks (which
I guess I should have called MANY weeks) it will be buyable. How much does
it cost over there anyway? I'd imagine it's cheaper than in Canada.

About 30 quid. I've seen it for less. If the kid saved his weekly
pocket money for 7-8 weeks, he'd have enough. I've seen it
second-hand for 15 quid. Can't believe I'm adding to this thread...

Oh well, It's not like you need that game anyway...Games and true fun are
privelages, not rights.

Darkside, Lightside, Old-School, what's the difference?

--
Many moons have passed since the Worms went to war. Onwards and upwards,
bigger weapons than before. Boggy B took cover, he shivered on patrol. The
arms raised crazy, simply way out of control. Then his friend threw it, the
latest device. Boggy B went and got it, against all advice. "What the-?"
His tail was split, and his energy lost. How many more will this dreaded
war cost? Then came the nuke and the disease tumbling down. If the bug
didn't get you, you'd probably drowned. But the Worms battled on, through
hunger and pain, living to fight, just a victor again. And now it's the
curtain call, the final onslaught, no better bullet could you possibly have
bought. But spare a thought for Boggy, and with it, his friend. So fight
with their honor, and fight until the end.
