I need help whit call of duty 4 :S ?

Hi guys, I have a new PC (AMD Athlon X2 Dual, 1GB ram, 8600 GS) and I
recently bought a copy of CoD4. I’ve been playing the multiplayer and
it works fine, the game looks great, but when I try and play single
player, it always prompts me with the Safe Mode message, I’ve looked
on Google (before anyone suggests using Google..) and the majority of
people that have the same problem as I do have CoD4 SP AND CoD4 MP
that do not work. CoD4 Multiplayer is working fine for me, so it
cannot be the sound card or graphics card, it’s just the single
player, can someone please help me here, I really want to play some
SP. Cheers for the help.
