Problems killing Morbent Fel

I'm having problems with killing Morbent Fel. I have Morbent's Bane in
the offhand, and yet it seems to do nothing. At the end of the fight
when I'm dead and Morbent Fel seems unharmed, I'm told that my skill in
unharmed combat has increased to ??. So it would seem that the weapon
although mounted offhand isn't working.
Any tips anyone?

Did you "use" it. It has a right click effect that will help you in
the fight. It's not enough to just equip it.

It has been a long time since I leveled an alliance there, but IIRC, you
have to right click on the offhand (already equipped), not beating Morbent
with it.

Before you start fight him right click Morbent's Bane(place the icon on the
right bar),this take down his protection,then fight him and take him down.

And if your unarmed combat increased: You used a two handed weapon before?
Then put something edgy, pointy or heavy in your main hand before fighting
him, may help with your damadge.

Oh, and train in it.

IIRC, once he has used the item on Morbent Fel, he can equip back to his
usual weapon+shield or 2-hander.

Yes is right,i have do it many times now with my alt,
but the first time i get the quest hi got me down 2 times
:-(
After that i use 2h sword and hi goes down every time now
and i use him also to train other weapons,just for fun.
Funne quest.
