I just solo'ed Kel'Gash, in the Ghostlands, with my level 21 Balance
druid. Kel'Gash is a level 20 elite, and I was barely able to do it
(down to double digits HP *and* double digits mana), after having pimped
my Druid fairly hard with Sagefish, Troll's Blood, Druid spell buffs, a
scroll of +3 Spirit, and Mana Oil on my weapon.

I'm close to dinging 22, and I can get Scrolls of Intellect II and even
III (an alt has some in storage). Also once I ding 22, I can use some
slightly better gear that I bought in the AH. My Druid is fairly
gear-pimped already (I got a lot of gold doing the Darkmoon Faire
trading thing, last week, and why not spend it?), but his INT wil still
go up a few points from even better gear.

The question is, can I solo Luzan and Knucklerot?

Finding a group in the Ghostlands is really difficult, but I'm pining
for those quest rewards, so would I have a chance, blasting away at them
with Wrath and the other standard Balance spells?

I'm thinking I'll cat form, then stealth, then sneak around trying to
find one of the nasties, and then follow him around until he leaves the
scar and all the lesser undead. (I don't like fighting as an animal,
though. Balance blasting is much more fun, and I'm speccing for this.)

Also the Dar'Khan (sp?) quest reward looks very nice, although he's
probably unreasonably tough to solo at level 22, so I'm not really
thinking about that.

Should be possible, although I've never played as Balance so can't
really tell you if it's possible as that spec - I've scertainly soloed
those quests as other classes, even Dar'Khan, although that was more
like lvl 25, and on a warlock. Think you would need a group for him, but
the Luzan and Knucklerot should be alright I think, probably a challenge
but not impossible by any means.

IME I'd suggest leveling a bit more before taking on Luzan and
Knucklerot. Early on balance is rather weak when mobs get up close and
personal. Still, if you get lucky rooting them and criting a few times
you might manage it :-)

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

A paladin can solo Luzan and Knucklerot, supposedly at level 20 but
the lowest I tied and done it at was level 21. I've done it as a
hunter but a druid, I don't recall ever trying. Dar'Khan is much
tougher. If you decide to take him on, whether in a group or solo,
always take out his warlocks first, one at a time and hope their
minions disappear when you do. In the past minions belonging to non-
player locks didn't disappear, but now it's random. Also he's use
scare on you so watch out for that.

I just pwnd Luzan, with several hundred HP, and several hundred mana, to
spare. AFAIK Luzan is level 21 and Knucklerot only 20, so the other one
should be even easier.

I "soloed" Luzran and Knucklerot by pulling them to guards in
Tranquillien with Roots and Faerie Fire.
