I have the original Warcraft 2 and seeing as it is made to run on a 486 my
P2 450 is a bit fast for it. The game runs at normal speed but even if i
have the scroll speed right down on minimum it scrolls very very fast and
this makes it unplayable.

Does ne1 know of a patch or update that can cure this problem?

ne help would be appreciated.

oh by the way, is this a problem common to all versions of Warcraft 2
(battle.net version and battle chest) as well as the original version or
will purchasing a newer version cure my problem?

The BNE does not have this problem. As far as I know there is no patch to
fix this problem.

the whole big issue here is your using a computer that was made AFTER
warcraft 2 was made so it can not reconize hardware or whatever is cvausing
this prob in your p2 450
something along those lines

Your PC is too fast for the game. It was fixed for the re released versions.
The Blizzard site recommended using a slowdown utility called 'Moslo' for
the original version. I use it and Warcraft 2 runs fine on my P3-700.

they could make a timer. Then they can make sure that the scroll speed is
the same on all computers (provided that the particular computer is fast
enough of course)

Christ, stfu. There are lots of programs that will slow your comp
down. mo'slo is one of them. Just get a crack/serial for it.

CpuKiller is another.

How about running SETI at high priority?
