Im still desperatly looking for the warcraft 2 (mac) "no cd" fix/patch. Im
flying to england on monday and will be in a dull hotel room all on my own
except for my powerbook which definately has no CD!
any help gratefully recieved..
woody
try using shrinkwrap to make a disk image of the cd...if i'm not mistaken
the whole warcraft II cd is only like 50 megs, so you can just keep the
disk image on their and mount it whenever you want to play...
i'm not sure whether that'll work for warcraft, but i tricked my copy of
flight unlimited (only so it would run faster) into doing that and it
worked fine...
no, it doesn't work and the cd is 156Meg
I have it and it works, if you want it send me a list of things you would
like to give me. I am looking for the alpha version of MacQuake.

don't bother, the image doesn't work. I tried it with my friend's cd and it
still doesn't work.
just get the data from the cd and crack it, that way you can play single
player games and play
network games with someone with the cd.
luck!!

-OR- you can get one of the patches on my web page that only require a
normal install of Warcraft2 and you no longer need the CD in. You can
also still play music CD's.

Actually with Warcraft 2 that will NOT work. many people say that you
can simply make a disk image with shrinkwrap and put in an audio CD, but
that will NOT work either, what you need to do is get the warcraft 2 crak.
this will fool warcraft 2 into thinking you have the CD in the CD-ROM
drive. I just so happen to have the Krak. So if you are interested, E-Mail
me at:

Hey, Razor, if he could get the data from the CD and crack it, the guy
in the original post wouldn't have posted in the first place. Hmmm, what
should I hit you with? "Here's living proof that you can't be too thin, too
rich or too stupid"? How about, "In a world where the cheetah is endangered
and the poodle thrives, this person doesn't surprise me at all"? I've got
it! Please shut up.

how 'bout
install the CD-rom driver,
copy the CD to a directory,
subset (cmd?) it as a drive
assign the subset drive as the CD-rom drive ...
The patch on this site is for the PC not the Mac! It doesn't work!
Whoever owns that web site needs to fix his games area link because you
can't get to it. Thank you for you efforts.
