hit. Does that show up in the character sheet tooltip? i.e. does my
character sheet need to say 5% or 8%?
I'm guessing by what it says now that it does NOT count that talent in
the tooltip, just the extra hit you get from gear/gems/chants,
correct?
I'm at almost 200 +hit, giving me like 3.whatever percent in the
tooltip, so adding the 3% from the MM talent to that, I'm at over 6%,
am I right?

Right. The character sheet does not show the effect of +hit talents.

talent easy to understand also http://be.imba.hu/ you can look up your
toon and it will tell you all you need to know about your toon
a lot of the MM and survival specs have it with one point in the slot
which lowers your hit to I believe 231 or 232 which will put you at the hit
cap 8% I know a lot of places say over 5% is worthless but I have never
missed at level 80 so I can't say to much about it

Right on, that was what I assumed, just needed confirmation... Not
that far off then, considering I'm not even all epic yet... Still a
couple blues... around ilevel 171-187...
