Just want to start a new guy and wanted something totaly different.
Something with realy good ranged attack, maybe even magic. I like to
solo so something that wont die at the drop of a hat would be nice ;)
Thanks.
The opposite of a paladin is most probably a warlock:
- Ranged as opposed to melee
- Cloth as opposed to plate
- Pet as opposed to, well, no pet
- Plus, ideologically, paladins are defenders of the Holy Light, whereas
warlocks come from a place of darkness
Warlocks are probably one of the best soloing classes in the game, too.
Especially those that are Affliction-specced.

IAWTP. Even easier solo would be hunter class. For quicker kills, faster
transportation, and more danger - pick Mage.
I will give one a whirl and see how it go's.
Thanks.

Good call. And a Warlock has soul stones!
The Undead racial Canabalize is great for a warlock. Life tap to 30%
health and eat a corpse.... mmmmmmm. :)

But,
You gotta love a mana steal followed by an AOE silence.
Yes. Cannibalize is handy for any non-healer, but I think Warlocks can
utilize it best of any class available for Undead.
I still think the dranei heal is the best racial for non-healers. Too
bad I hate alliance and the Dranei males look so hideous.

Don't gnomes taste funny? :-)
