Can't switch realms?

For the last couple months, most of the time when I try to switch
realms, I get a dialog about getting realm info and it just freezes
there. I can quit the dialog, but can't get to the realm list.

Then it will suddenly work and I am fine for a few hours, at which time
it reverts to unable to switch again due to not receiving the realm
list.

I was switching earlier today and am now stuck in a realm I only meant
to check briefly, and can't get out.

Anyone else having this problem? If so, did you find any solution?

FWIW, I am running on a Mac Pro and Snow Leopard.

That happens to me once in a while. I have to quit back to the login
screen, log in again. Then everything is fine. I'm on a Mac Pro also,
running Leopard. Happens maybe once every two or three weeks. Seems to
have started a couple of months ago, or less. I've just been putting up
with it.

Happens to me occasionally, usually i simply hit cancel and try again
and most of the time i get list as it should be. If it keeps on coming
to you try closing WoW entirely then try again

That's my experience as well. But it isn't limited to Macs; I'm on
a Win XP machine. To me, it appears that it occurs most often
after playing a toon for a while and seems as if there Realm List
Server (does one exist?) issue. Perhaps the game servers aren't
communicating with the authentication or other servers.

The problem has become even more annoying now that I use an
Authenticator. :)

Happens to me sometimes on a PC. As you said, log out and back in to
switch realms.
