I am now going to go back to my Wogren (who finally found his home town
-- thx for telling me where and how!), and figured I would ask before I
actually am thrashing again.
When I hit 20, where will my Wogren need to go to buy his mount?

Nowhere. Worgens don't get a "mount", they get a racial skill at level 20
with a 1.5s cast time called Running Wild, where they drop to all fours and
run as fast as a normal mount. At level 40, it increases to the 100% speed
of the lvl 40 epic mounts.

Cool! Even better than the Paladin free mount then. :)

Unless you're a Tauren. Sunwalker kodos are just about the coolest
things in the game. :-)

Back in the dark ages of the game, Tauren learned "plainstriding" from an
NPC who paced the length of the road in STV. The Worgen "mount" seems like
a throwback to that time.
*That's* what she is for. I always wondered who she was and why she was
there wandering the zone for no apparent reason.

Hah, so that was her occupation.
I do think Blizz should make some kind of mount for the worgens to buy
if they want, something that is privvy to the Worgens. Wolves seem
pointless since Orcs have wolves. Well perhaps they can be wolves but
of a different type.
It is not fair that Goblins get trikes which other Horde can obtain by
getting exalted but the Worgen have nothing obtainable by other
alliance at exalted.
I just hope nobody gets the idea that one can purchase the "trait" at
exalted. I am trying not to have an image in my mind of dwarves and
gnomes runnign around at mount speed in a galloping trot.
OH! OH! OH!

Sheep! Worgen have tons of sheep in their villages in their starting area.
They're either for meat or... uhm... helping over fences. :P
