>See, Wii commercials must show real people and they try not to show the Wii graphics as much as possible. REAL systems(360,PS3) show their graphics only and sometimes you think it is real. Fuck a Wii!

>I see the Wii BS has died down now...
PS3 and 360 graphics can certainly be outstanding, but I've not once
confused them with reality, even movie-style reality. That sort of
realism is many generations of hardware away.
I would have considered the Wii version except for 2 things... it's
twice the price of the 360 version now and the paddle swing is not 1:1
with the real life Wiimote movement. :^(

Here in Norway, it's about half price of the usual Wii games (about GBP 20)
And for the REAL systems, XBox Halo 3 has crappy framerate, I rather have
lower res and 60fps. And Metroid Prime 3 looks like a hell of a game to me.
I have about 15 XBox 360 games, I can't say I am too impressed with most of
them. Prey has the same crappy framerate, GoW is fairly boring, though with
good framerate. Best of the ones I have is Enchanted Arms, but it too gets a
bit boring with all the random battles. Oblivion could have been a great
game, slow loading and crap framerate takes it down.
That said, I haven't been impressed with much of the Wii graphics either,
Zelda was awesome though. And I think Metroid Prime 3 will be a killer game,
I loved the two GC ones. Still Laser Hockey on Wii Play is fun, even if it
doesn't have killer graphics. Most important is playability and that has
nothing to do with REAL consoles or UNREAL ones.
A DS is a "real system". By your standards then, a PS2 is not a real
system, as the Wii has better graphics than it. When does a system
stop being "real" in your book?
As for showing people, the Wii is about PEOPLE playing games, and
having a good time. It is a cheap beer that people can get some
laughs from. It is NOT about the latest and greatest in graphics.

simply stated:
I own and 360 and a wii. Even though the graphics are better on the 360, the
wii is much more fun. The games are not trying to be real and serious. It`s
really a GAME and it`s FUN... And, you don\t have to go to the store to get
a new one every 3 weeks due to the red circle of death or the graphic card
melted just because you wanted to play in HD....

Nintendo still anticipates not being able to meet demand for the
holiday season despite having ramped up supply. I was just accosted at
Best Buy in Manhattan by people looking for the Wii. They were
complaining that they had been looking since last Christmas and
couldn't find any and I told them they just have to call every so
often and hope they hit the jackpot like everybody else.
The Wii is likely to win by a landslide this holiday season because
even at its original price it's far and away the cheapest console
*and* the buzz hasn't yet died down *and* it's still cheaper than
Microsoft and Sony's *previous* generation console entry price.
Which exclusive games on the Nintendo Wii run at 60 fps, consistently
or not?
I reckon at least Metroid Prime 3 does. I did not say all Wii games do that,
I said I rather have 60fps than high res with framedrops. Most Gamecube
games ran at 60fps, though not the Mario games, they are 30fps, which is
also acceptable, as long as it's constant
What's amusing is how crappy most of the "high end" ps3 games seem to be
-- typically very high resolution with boring gameplay, horrid
unrealistic animation and physics, and frequent long loading times.
I've yet to see something worth buying a ps3 for.
It's clear that many of the early ps3 games were developed as quickly as
possible by developers who had completely swallowed the "anything on the
playstation is a sure bet!" hype. Whoops.
If _all_ you care about is high-resolution, then the ps3 is for you. If
you care about anything else, well, suddenly it doesn't look so hot.

But they also destroy the environment, to an extent so drastic that
they kill all social life' (from _A Pattern Language_)
Because the kind of sad pasty faced individuals (like you) who play PS3
and 360 wouldn't be a very good advertisment so they're not shown?
Choobs
ps I know, I know, I'm feeding the troll.

No, in it's generation, it was real. Even the Gamecube was real in the last
generation.

When it is nothing more than an overcocked version of the last model and it
can't even touch the REAL systems in anything.
