Message for all console fanboys.

Xbox vs GC vs PS2

I have all three and like each for their own reasons, but I could care less
about the consoles themselves.

If I have any loyalties, it'll fall with a game developer not with a console
manufacturer.

And which developer has a higher percentage of top titles (for all consoles)
than any other?

Which developer shedded their low profitibablity as a console manufacturer
and now concentrates solely on developing the greatest games ever made?

Which developer is now enjoying the spoils of "soaring profits"?

Repeat after me: SAY-GAH!

Another thing, why is this in the GBA group? since when did we call it
either of those 3 names in the subject header, or do you love trolling in as
many groups as possible?

No doubt joe been giving you tips.

EA, followed by Ubisoft, THQ, Activision, and Capcom?

Atari?

Yeah, Sega's sports titles are really leaving EA's sports titles in the
dust...um...well, actually, it is the other way around. And their non-sports
titles, Super Monkey Ball 2, Billy Hatcher, and more Sonic games, have
enjoyed absolutely phenomenal success...um...well, actually, they haven't.

Nice try, though.

Again it's only okay for Ice Wipe to troll the Xbox group. Aren't double
standard great?

I never said they were not making a profit, just that Sega doesn't have a
higher percentage of top titles than any other developer. I don't see Sega
games reach the Top 10 best selling list very often. And, certainly, I don't
think they are earning as much money as EA is. I'll check the figures,
though, and post them soon.

So you care some, since you could care less.

This has to be one of the most misunderstood and misused colloquialisms in
English. It is properly phrased: "I couldn't care less."

If you're going to make a point, try not to invert it. :)

>And which developer has a higher percentage of top titles (for all consoles)

Define "top title"? Raw sales, or games that are fun?

>Which developer shedded their low profitibablity as a console manufacturer
>and now concentrates solely on developing the greatest games ever made?

Sega has put out some good games. They've also put out some less than
stellar ones, even for their own consoles. Much of the Genesis library was
lousy, or I'd have gotten the console. I saw enough of it at a friend's to
know it wasn't worth it.

I have read somewhere that the sega PROFIT was in large part to arcade
machines. Good luck to them though, I am glad they didnt go under with the
dreamcast.

I hate people who have so much money to burn. 90% of the time they didn't
even work to get to that place in life.

Huh? Most rich people are that way from hard work, risk taking and
sacrifices. Only a small percentage are inheritance and such.

It's called getting an education. You don't get paid well for how hard you
work, but for how hard you are to replace.

So that is why I have seen so many PHDs making 30 grand or less a year?

It IS hard work, sacrifices and risk taking that builds wealth (as Snakes
pointed out) - NOT by being a sitting lame duck. A degree is a door opener,
but never a guarantee. It still takes all three.
