Anyone got any ideas if the Ninja in MGS2 is Gray Fox or not? I believe it's
not Gray Fox at all because he was completely smash to death by Liquid.

It's Lara Croft.

The Phone-a-Friends on "Millionaire" who repeat the question to others with
them are fucking morons. I hope the contestants who waste lifelines on these
pricks go home and kill them for playing a twenty-second "Telephone" game on
their dime.

heh. Dying in Metal Gear is as permanent as death in any horror/sci-fi
movie. how many times did Liquid die in one game? now he's just a freaking
hand, but he's still there. and how many times did Grey Fox/Ninja/Frank
die?

Sure, in the versions of the MG series you've played. But remember
this, every time Snake died in your version you just reset, loaded a save,
entered a password, or chose continue. I'm sure that in the versions where
liquid or Gray Fox were the protagonist they did the same thing until they
got to an ending where they lived. This is really just basic video game
theory. Now if you really want to have an intelligent discussion we can
debate whether the final fantasy story line is drawn together over a long
history caused by the over-abundance of powerful magic leading to the
eventual destruction of the world followed by ten-thousand or so years of
rebuilding society between each game or whether they're alternate
universes running in parallel with slightly different outcomes leading to
the separate games over time based on chaos theory as it applies to video
games. Or possibly we can discuss how numerous such games could be made
with no end of the franchise in sight and still all claim to be the
"final" fantasy.
