how do u sample a cd

Do you mean getting a sample off a CD. You will need editing software to
extract and edit the sample.
Then you will need a sampler to trigger it.

Q.How do I create and use a sample from an Audio CD?
A. Use these basic steps:
1) Select the CD Player icon on the top right hand of the screen (5th icon
from the left) and press X
2) Select No Video and press X
3) Insert the audio CD as requested
4) Press Play then Record your sample
5) Remove the audio CD and insert the Music 2000 disc in your PlayStation
and close the lid. Press the Triangle button, select Okay
and press X
6) Select Song Track from the top left of the screen (1st icon) and press
X
7) Press R1 (Top right shoulder button) and you should see a pink box
asking you to select riff length. You can adjust the riff length by
the directional pad.
8) When the desired riff length is set press the X button. This will take
you into the Riff palette.
9) Press the O button which will take you into the Riff Editor menu
10) Move down to Sample palette and press the X button
11) This will show your loaded samples, i.e. Sample0001, Sample0002 etc.
Select the sample you wish to load and press X
12) This will take you back to the Riff Editor which should ask you to
Paste note. You can paste the note by pressing the X and the right
direction pad.
13) You can play the sample by pressing the Start button.
14) Now you can do what you like with the sample, i.e. edit, cut, etc.
