Once upon a time, there was a little console called SEGA SATURN, with it's
contender..the SONY PLAYSTATION. Thirty years ago, the little SEGA SATURN
was considered the dream for 2D fighters..with the help of it's new female
companion (or should I say `the male companion') the 4MB RAM CARD..
Upon releasing X-MEN VS SF thirty years ago, many Saturn owners took over
the streets. They spat in the faces of all PSX owners telling everyone to
suck their dicks and stuff. After the turn of the next millenium, they
burned down 35 PSX factories, sued 55,000 Sony manufacturers and held up
signs saying "PSX SUCKS...SATURN RULES"...
It would've turned into a world domination matter if I couldn't help it. I
grabbed my rocket launcher, aimed it at CAPCOM and pulled the trigger. And
that was the end of the Saturn.
No CAPCOM meant no X-MEN VS SF, no cool 2D fighters to boast about...and
certainly no more long queues for SATURN purchases.

I'm sorry to hear (well, not really) that you so greatly regret buying
into popular opinion and getting a PlayStation. There are plenty of
PlayStation owners who are completely happy with their systems, and
therefore aren't bored enough to post flawed arguments and flamebait in
the newsgroups of systems they're jealous of.
You see, Sonic R has received much positive feedback recently too. As
has Duke Nukem 3D, Dead or Alive, Samurai Shodown 4 and others. And the
excellent X-Men Vs. Street Fighter port means that great ports of Street
Fighter 3, DarkStalkers 3, the Dungeons and Dragons Collection, Marvel
Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, and other such titles await. And that's
not to mention past and future SNK ports, where games like King of
Fighters '97 might also get converted perfectly to the Saturn with the 4MB
cart. Plus you're forgetting about other non-Capcom, non-2D fighter
projects such as the highly anticipated House of the Dead, Grandia,
Burning Rangers and other titles.
"I blew up Namco. And that was the end of the PlayStation. No NAMCO
meant no TIME CRISIS, no cool 3D shooters to boast about...and certainly
no more long queues for PSX purchases." Such a statement in a PlayStation
newsgroup, and the only joke would be the one posting it. Prefacing it
with "it's only a JOKE!" wouldn't change that either. And why bother the
many reasonable, mature PlayStation owners just because you're feeling
inadequate with your choice of consoles? If I cared about popular opinion
instead of fun I'd be tickling my Elmo and dancing the Macarena, instead
of not buying into either.
