I read on one of the Sega message boards that “Daytona 500” is in
development for DC in Japan, and that it’s an online game for SegaNet.
This was ment to have been from an interview with someone at Sega.com
I’ll post a link to the interview when I can. (it has already been
posted here actualy) I also understand that licensing difficulties
might be the thing that is holding up the release of a Daytona title.
Perhaps Daytona 500 is related to the new Nascar Rubbin’ Racing arcade
game, I don’t know. Yet, I *do* know that many of you out there are
hoping as much as I am for a Daytona game on Dreamcast of some kind.
I hope Sega is listening.

Before you buy.
Yes I remember. Scud Racer, called Super GT in the United States,
was the first AM2 racing game on Sega's Model 3 arcade hardware.
It was a beautiful game. Sega even ported the first course to
the Dreamcast step 4 development kit, back in late 1997 when
DC was known as Katana. The quality was said to be just about arcade
perfect. I doubt that it's coming, though. Sega doesn't have the
Porsche license. Super GT is old now and it wasn't that big of a hit.

Yes. Online Daytona racing on Dreamcast would rock. So would
racing with the link cable. Can you imagine that? <^_^>
I hope it comes out too.
