Hiyas,

I was just wondering if anyone here rented or even bought this
game, and if so, what is it like? I know ODCM trashed it, but I'd seen
footage of it from IGN's page and it looked pretty good awhile back...

Just wanted the gamer's slant on how it plays and what it's like.
And of course, if it's worth the money!

Thanks in advance for any opinions. :-)

The critics were right, stay away from it...far away.

I was really surprised by the bad reviews it got. I thought it was a heck
of a lot of fun. The camera problems are vastly overstated... I've played
the import version and it was MUCH worse... practically unplayable. But I
really had a blast playing the domestic version. I'm pretty fussy when it
comes to games with bad controls and/or bad camera work, and I had no
significant problems with it. However, I must say that it's not a game I
stayed with for a long time before moving on. Perfect for a rental.

I had a lot of fun playing it, altough it is very confusing at times. The
graphics are very, very good.

Gamers Republic gave the game an A-, so who knows. They gave the game nothing
but praise. Check out the review in the newest issue, it is the one with
Phantasy Star Online on the cover. Everytime I have bought a game based on a
good review by either Gamers Republic or Diehard Gamefan, I have never been
disapointed. This game has gotten so thrased in every other publication
though, I would rent it first.

Four words: Rent first, buy used.

Actually, I have the game (a copy, anyway), and although it's not
EXCELLENT, it's not too bad. It's unique in the sense that it's like
playing Quake 3 from an uptop/behind view.

It's not worth buying, though, in my opinion.
