I can't tell whether this is a PS2 fanboy or PS2 trashing post...these games
sound like total shit! If this is actually a PS2 trash post, it's worked
pretty well, because damn, just about all those games sound frickin
terrible, each in their own terrifying way. PS2 is actually the first
console of the 3 that I'm thinking most of getting, but 11 games based on
flash-in-the-pan or crappy old movies? Shudder...

Uhm... is this a joke?

Most of these titles sound less than stellar, to put it kindly (correct me
if I'm wrong people, but methinks that the gaming community will not be
running en masse to pick up Rugrats Royal Ransom).

And the few titles that most people are waiting for - Rocky, Malice,
Wreckless and especially Return to Castle Wolfenstein - the Xbox and
Gamecube versions of these games will far outperform Sony's aging hardware.

Please understand that you can enjoy your PS2 and it's a fine system, but
the Xbox and Gamecube version of these games will look sharper and play more
smoothly. Both of these systems are at least TWICE as fast as Sony's aging
PS system.

And if you want to compare titles "coming soon," consider that the following
titles coming exclusively to GameCube and Xbox:

Unreal Championship (with Xbox Live support no less)
Doom III
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Zelda
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Metal Gear Solid 2 (yes, it came out on the PS2 already - but Xbox version
is going to be filled with tons of features the PS2 version never had)
Starcraft Ghost (yes, I know it's possible it will come out on the PS2 - but
it's a certainty it will pale in comparison to the GameCube and Xbox
versions)

Those are games I actually want to play --AND those are games that those
people who only own Sony gaming consoles won't be able to play.

96% of those game will be, or already are, available on Xbox or Gamecube,
dumbfuck.

3% are just afterthought 'cheap' games (ET??? Activition Anthology??????
Sponge Bob??? Mary Kate & Ashley?????? The SIMS??????) You got yourself some
real winners there, bub.

The other 1% are PS2 exclusives that only a queer-ass PS2 fanboy (you) would
be giddy over.

Don't cry.

Zelda has never been pushed back...It will come out before Christmas in
Japan just like was announced, and in the first quarter of next year in the
US, just like announced. They never announced a release date prior to
these. Also, what do you mean after Mario, Mario was a fucking excellent
game and is better than anything on the PS2 or Xbox (which is surprising
since it is the third best GCN game).

I don't care where it looks better, I suspect it will suck like MGS.

This is completely stupid. Aside from many games that dont matter @
all to many xbox players like the ones other have mentioned most of
these titles ARE for the xbox! or are already on the xbox so are you
stupid or confused?

Because not everyone (that includes you) has the hardware to play Morrowind or

http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/4827.asp

"Unreal Championship is a first-person action game built from the ground
up exclusively for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft," so you can't
even play it on the PC. Besides, you have a Mac.

I'm not interested in U.C. or Doom III, but you won't play Unreal
Championship anywhere else and you won't play Doom III on any other console.

And before you tell us (as you have recently) that FPSs should only be
played on console, where did this post come from?

http://tinyurl.com/1tst

"Personally I thought Perfect Dark was technically a better game than
Goldeneye as it had just as much of the good stuff and more, but I liked
Goldeneye better and continued playing it after Perfect Dark came out as it
just was more simple fun. That and the multiplayer maps were better. Halo
and PD0 will both kick extreme ass so I will get them when they come out for
Mac and GCN respectively."

There are many instances of you saying that you liked Goldeneye and PD
and intended to buy PD0 when it was a Gamecube game. Now that it's an Xbox
title you're no longer excited about it oddly, just like Unreal Championship
and every other console-exclusive FPS that isn't on a Nintendo console.

> Also, what do you mean after Mario, Mario was a fucking excellent
> game and is better than anything on the PS2 or Xbox (which is surprising
> since it is the third best GCN game).

Well speaking for myself I have no interest in upgrading my PC just to play
games . I also prefer gaming on a big screen television in a home theatre

i thought you were pointing out the hypocrisy coursing through this
statement: "Halo and PD0 will both kick extreme ass so I will get them

when they come out for Mac and GCN respectively."

since perfect dark zero is now xbox-bound i guess blando thinks it
won't kick so much "extreme ass" anymore. he can wait 18 months for the
mac port of halo if he so wishes, but xbox will be the only platform on
which to play perfect dark zero.

Sad part is I never said that. I've never been excited about PD0. I did
say I'd get Halo for Mac when it came out...but that was until a few friends
of mine who play FPS on Mac with me, told me it was nothing special...and as
you know, most Mac users think very highly of Bungie so it has nothing to do
with bias...this guy doesn't even own a GCN or to my knowledge a PS2.

Nope, that's not what I was trying to highlight. I've just observed that
Bondo doesn't like console FPSs, well except for Goldeney and Perfect Dark
on the N64 and he was (at one point at least) pumped about Perfect Dark 0 on
the GCN. In short, he seems to be down on console FPSs unless they're on a
Nintendo console in which case they're OK in his book, or so it would seem.

And probably the only platform to play Halo 2, for that matter, unless I
miss my guess. Halo was promised to the PC and Mac communities when
Microsoft purchased Bungie and MS is following through on that, but no such
promise is being made nor in any way suggested for Halo 2.

Google Groups highlights search criteria in the newsgroup post, that's
why it's highlighted in colour. It's not random either, it's every instance
of certain words, words that were part of the search criteria.

Bondo isn't a troll in my experience, but he most certainly is a fanboy.
Anyone who thinks attacking other consoles is on-topic for a group (such as
bagging on the PS2 in the Xbox newsgroup or bagging on the Xbox in the GCN
newsgroup) is a fanboy, and not only a fanboy but a system wars obsessed
one.

I mean, no well adjust individual thinks the following is on-topic for a
Gamecube newsgroup:

http://tinyurl.com/1vdm

"I was surprised to see this up as I didn't think the game was coming out
for
a bit. I'm a little boggled how a game that gets a 7 and 6 in Presentation
and Sound, an 8 in both Gameplay and Lasting Appeal and a 9 in Graphics
manages an 8.8 average. I'm not complaining about the 8.8 so much as that
the other ratings really don't support that. Gameplay and Replay are by far
the most imporant and neither was higher than the overall...only Graphics,
an insignificant factor was. If given those ratings I think the game
probably should have been in the low 8s. Still, it looks like a game to add
with Munch as something I would enjoy if I am ever given an Xbox for free.
But those two games alone are not really enough reason for me to support a
bad company."

No mention of anything even remotely on-topic, unless you feel digs at
the competition (a hotly-anticipated Xbox release is not deserving of the
score it received, he'd only take an Xbox if he could get it "for free", and
the Xbox is made by "a bad company") are on-topic, and that's only true if
you view the world from a console wars point of view. I can only conclude
Bondo does just that.

Why is that a chicken-shit thing to do if you're trying to prove something?
Seems to be a logic way to prove something since you can produce a link,

If it's well documented, then please show us a link.

I think you're just mad for two reasons. Number one, you got burned on your
prediction of the sale of Rare, which shouldn't be a big deal because in all
fairness it was just a rumor in the beginning. Number two, right after the
sale you did a complete flip-flop on your opinion of Rare games and even tho
you deny your flip-flop, it was proven in a number of links.

This isn't a discussion of PD, this is a discussion of using quotes from

In your opinion. I don't use false insults of it, you use false
insults towards the x-box, so your stupidity is dually noted.

Exactly, and considering he was hypocritical in this context. Mario
Sunshine suffered this exact same review "anomaly" yet he only
mentioned it once it was pointed out to him.

I honestly couldn't care less about what he says....but when he
complains like a girl that people bash his console of choice, and then
he goes and does the exact same thing about another console, he
forfeits his right to complain. IMO.

I think it's a reverse troll, even though it did list Tony Hawk 4 and FFXI
which have some people looking forward expectantly.

you lack a sense of humor.

The post was about ign, not about Blinx. I use Blinx because it was the
most extreme example I'd seen. I never bashed the Xbox, I said that the
game may very well deserve the 8.8, I was merely criticizing ign.

Finally, I'm not a fanboy and I have no problem with the Xbox, I'm just not
interested. The reason I say negative things about it is because the
assortment of Xbox trolls in the GCN newsgroup is absurd and I figure they
need to be shown what asses they are. Maybe you should tell these assholes
to stop posting (and cross-posting) into the Gamecube group.

This link doesn't say anything about Perfect Dark Zero.

It just says how you gave the original PD a 10/10, how you "greatly like"
Rare's adventure/platform games and how Rare won't be developing for an
non-Nintendo console. IMHO, it's just more ammo showing your blantant
flip-flop in regards to Rare.

Ahh, but you didn't say "some".

In your pre-buyout Nintendo cockiness, you wrote "that is unequivocal fact."

Now that Rare is no longer a Nintendo, you're cockiness is gone and suddenly
Rare only made "some" great games and weren't that important. You even make
it a point to create a new thread to talk about how Rare is on the decline.

But why use a game from a system you have no desire to own? Why not use
Eternal Darkness, who was given a 9.6 from IGN which is one of the highest
score (using a 10 pt scale) that that game received?

Ahh so you admit to saying negative things about the Xbox in an attempt to
out-troll the trolls? That's says all we need to know.

It says I'm not interested in their FPSs. Could it be much clearer?
It says I don't like any FPS on a console but Goldeneye...not and Perfect
dark but just Goldeneye. And then I make a point of not listing PD0 you
see, because I have no interest in it. As for PD getting a 10/10, that is
because it was technically better than GE which I gave a perfect score. My
reviews back then were more technically based, so the fact that I didn't
like it as much wouldn't really factor into the grade. If I was going to
review it again it probably would get an 8.

That is the stupidest argument I've ever heard. What, because I don't say
some I must mean all? All my statement means is that Rare has made more
than one (because of games) great game. That is all you can read into it
without changing the meaning due to your bias against me.

Difference is, I only do it in reply to their messages, I don't start new

You started a thread on IGN's Blinx review and speculated that, though
you hadn't played it, it probably wasn't deserving of the 8.8 it received.
You insist that "I never bashed the Xbox, I said that the game may very well
deserve the 8.8," but in fact you said "I think the game probably should

have been in the low 8s."

I never seen a thread started by either Steven Hurdle, Longhorn or Billy J
that was negative about the Gamecube or even the PS2, yet you consider them
to be trolls. So what's the difference?

However you want to describe it or defend it, you just admitted that you
purposely say negative things about the Xbox. Sounds like trollish behavior
to me.

Sure it could. Since I was asking for a specific example of you voicing a
negative opinion of PD0 to combat your positive opinion of it earlier. This
post did no such thing as it didn't list PD0 at all.

> It says I don't like any FPS on a console but Goldeneye...not and Perfect

That's fine if you have no interest in it, but it still doesn't change the
fact that your last documented comments about PD0 said it will "kick extreme
ass". So is there a reason for why you no longer think PD0 will kick
"extreme ass"?

Speaking of your last documented comments about perfect dark zero, I just
did two google searches for posts authored by bo...@adelphia.net. One was a
search of "perfect dark zero" and the other was a search of "PD0". I found
another post from you that documents more anticipation for Perfect Dark
Zero.

http://tinyurl.com/1wkb

Not once in my two searches did I find a specific post from you that said
anything negative about PD0.

I'd hardly say that its extreme. I'm positive you still would have
gone with another system's *skewed* review of a game even if there was
a more extreme skewed review available on gamecube.

That's fine, but target them instead of the console they support. I
doubt you'd rag on the cube if there was a cube troll loud mouthing
the newsgroups. You'd attack him instead. Believe it or not, there are
newbies out there who could take your ragging of a system as gospel,
and then avoid that system in future. I'm sure that's the opposite of
what you set out to do.
