Zelda Majora's Mask - Southern Swamp Question

I'm in the Southern Swamp and have finished all the major objectives.
I've beaten the boss, taken the first boat trip etc. Now I'm trying to
go on the second boat cruise after restarting to Day 1. I go to the
Tourist Information but Koume is gone. I go to the Potion shop. I talk
with Kotake and she will not give me the "cure all" like the first time.
She asks me to obtain mushrooms. So off I go and get a mushroom. After I
give her one she mixes up a Red Potion. But this red potion does not
work on Koume. Link swallows it himself.

Therefore I go back to Kotake. She asks for more mushrooms. I get her
another one. She pays me a red ruby. Then all she does is ask for
another. I believe this happens for 3 times. The third time she tells me
the story of Koume in the woods and offers me the "cure all" ... finally
!!! But now my bottles full of a mushroon and I can't get rid of the
damn thing.

Is there an easy way to revive Koume? All I want to do is go on the boat
tour for the second time so I can get the Piece of Heart for the picture
I take.

Please help.

go to Koume, talk to her and exit the forest.
Go to kotake, get the RED potion.
!!!! Visit Koume again and TALK to her !!!!
Then when she asks for a C item, equip and USE the red potion.

Easy huh?
Just take the time to READ the text in the game.
