Mario64 is 3D and I consider it a must have game if you own N64.
and my younger relatives always seem to love it when they play it.
Super Mario World still is one of my all time favorites and many
people forget how great it was. I liked the finding the key and secret stuff
with the cape flying. There is flying in Mario64 but I think Super Mario world
cape flying was more fun. Mario 64 also more of a puzzle feel to it finding
the different stars. The bosses are easy like in most Mario games but finding
all stars should take any average gamer quite some time. For me after first
playing Mario64 there was an incredible WOW everything is in 3D factor that I
never had with a game before. Of course this wow factor doesn't last but
after that you find many new moves like the triple jump, back flip somersault.
All I can say is both games were Miyamoto genius so I highly recomend
buying it for her.
oh yes, there is a major difference. rent it and see why
