True. It's one of the best Nintendo 64 games ever!

Anyone remember what level and time had to be beaten for the Unlimited
Ammo Cheat? A friend kept running the OO-Archives Level and beat it
(under 1:20)! and got the Invisible Bond cheat.

It's one of THE best games ever. On any system. Oh, and so is Mario, and

It's nice how the game puts in elements from previous Bond movies,

That's right. Those PSX trolls who come on here and bash N64 are
either jealous of our games, or have nothing better do to with their
shitty PSX, so they come try and start flame wars.

Speak for yourself, bud. Does your two great games compare with
PlayStation's number? PlayStation's the only console with Colony Wars,
Final Fantasy 7, Tomb Raider 2, Resident Evil 2, Tekken 2, Street Fighter
EX+@, C&C: Red Alert, and many more. People that don't like these titles
either like eyecandy better or simply because it isn't on N64. Both reasons
blow chunks.

There's a pattern here. You come into these newsgroups once every few
months for a day or two to post flamebait in every thread you can find.
Then you leave. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were a troll.

Such flawless logic! Ruling out the possibility that someone may not
like one or more of the above titles simply because it's not their kind

Do I have to play all the games in the world on every system to know
Goldeneye is the best game ever? I have owned a lot of consoles since the
Atari 2600 (no Playstation though...), so I know my games (altough, I
*think* I know...), but I haven't played everything. Have you? Everyone who
has played Goldeneye to the end says it's the best game ever, that's all. I
just know Goldeneye has the best concept a game could have. When I was
little, I thought by myself "Hmmm, what could a game look like 10 years
from now?" And I think this is it. It has the perfect usage of 3D, along
with Mario 64. Oh, and let me just say Goldeneye is the only game I could
play 4 months non-stop in a one-player mode.
I just hope I don't get angry e-mails from trolls that stroll around
here...

That's because Jody McLean is a nerd who continually flames the

upset if anyone says anything positive about the Nintendo 64..

You're the one whos confused buddy. You bring up the point that gamers are
classified as nerds; thats your problem. I'm comfortable with my station
in life, as are many gamers. We don't care about stereotypes, becuase they
just aren't true. As for that kid in Kentucky, do you realize how many
people could be considered a "video game enthusiast" ? I've got a friend
who owns a PSX, but only plays it for maybe an hour a week. He buys game
magazines. He's a vid-game enthusiast. He's not gonna go out and kill his
whole pyschology class for no good reason.

As far as I'm concerned, this kid in Kentucky is one smart little shit.
"I'm only a kid, I'm easily influenced by TV and Video-games, I only
killed my class-mates becuase of what I saw on TV." Its proof that, while
TV numbs us to violence, it doesn't spur us into becoming violent. If TV
made you violent, I would've been murdering people for years. I've seen
every gory, violent movie you could name, and I've played most every gory,
violent game out there. I'm not out killing people. What this kid is doing
is very smart, while at the same time; a huge crock of shit.

As for Jody. Yes, he/she is annoying, but you PACKER-BOY are ten-times
more annoying. At least Jody doesn't resort to name-calling when he/she is
being flamed for his/her opinion. You need to grow up. Your Jr. High
mentality will forever cause those around you to not take you seriously.

I agree a lot here. There is no question N64 games have the best
graphics, but the same cannot be said about the gameplay. There are
great games like Goldeneye and Diddy Kong Racing, but what about the
garbage games like Killer Instinct Gold and War Gods? What about the
disappointments like Quarterback Club 64?

P.S. Anyone with a Saturn or is planning to get one, definitely check
out Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter. It's sick!

If you compare the best games from any system, they're all around the
same level. Goldeneye and Mario 64 are great games, but are games like
the new Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (Sega Saturn) or Resident
Evil 2 or Tomb Raider 2 (both for Playstation) in anyway lacking
compared to them? IMO, no. I like the N64, but I must say that because
of the numerous quality games the Playstation has (previous two, plus
Warcraft II, King of Fighters 98, NFL Gameday, NBA Live 98, Gunship) I
would have to give the Playstation the edge. On a related note, don't
sleep on the Sega Saturn. It's one of the fastest running systems (two
processors) and it's great (I really mean it) for fighting games.

I'm sure your the spokesman for this newsgroup. Judging from this group's

You seem to have weathered the onslaught very well, I can't remember such

It's hard to believe because there is one *big* achilles heel here. The
lack of variety! I don't have a bone to pick with those that like it, but
any N64 has to admit that the lack of variety is a pressing issue that
Nintendo has yet to address fully.

It's an obvious fact of life that one's interests are dynamic. They
change over time in response to new stimuli. It only follows that it
is the GAME that drives interest in one system or another... not the
system itself.

Yea, but just because you like on better doesn't mean you can't like
both. I mean, I like Goldeneye better than Mario 64, yet I still like
both games.

So? This is irrelevant to your point. And besides, when did anyone claim
to play both equally?

Actually, it's not truth. It's something called opinion. Maybe you've

So what? This can happen between different games on the same system.

Mario 64 unfortunately was hailed by many of the mainstream media and
publications the best game ever made. Unfortunately whether this is
the truth or not in the minds of individual gamers, the public made it
so.

In this respect it does't matter whether you, or I, or Kwa or Jesse or
Kyle, like or dislike the game. The "establishment" has already
marked it. That's it.

Truly. I've said several times that the Saturn is the console of choice for

There is no such thing as a 'universally-good game', just like there is no
'universally-good music artist'. That's why I have problems with EGM's Top
100 Games Of All Time. If such a list were universally accepted, then all
gamers don't have personal tastes and we would be all clones of one another.

>In this respect it does't matter whether you, or I, or Kwa or Jesse or

The 'establishment' needs to realize that 'best game of all time' should not
be used on *any* game. Heck, some people still think Pong is the best game
of all time.

Lots of fun until Windows crashes and you have to reboot, then it crahses
again, and again, and then there is that kick ass game, oh, wait, thats for
a console system.... See, consoles have the selection for games. PCs, well,
crash&burn.
