long ago someone asked something here related to vga planets ...
Anyway i'll give it a try and hope for answer (can't ask @ my host webforum
as my enemy will probably read it xD )
I'm crystals, a huuge ion storm (Radius 205, Voltage 97, growing, Warp 3)
moved slowly on my border to fed/colo. Two turns ago his outer rim covered
one of my planets with a small webfield around it (10 mark 7).
There is a colo/fed fleet trying to reach of my planets (3 virgos, 1
kittyhawk, 1 loki), there are additional fed ships nearby on his planet.
One turn before i layed more webs ... inscreasing the webfield over my
covered planet increase the size to maximum (150ly) covering the fed/colo
fleet.
Actual turn: My webfield has been SWEPT by fed/colo fleet (inside the
webfield which center is covered inside ion storm since 2 rounds.
Message by UFO4VPA concerning this:
(-m0116)<<< MINEFIELD DATA (2/2) >>>
Our minefield (ID #116) has changed
in size:
ID=423: 58 units laid
072<ID : 3031 units swept/exploded
3031 units is way to much for normal decay (5%) as i had 22.500 mines (the
maximum size).
The other fed ships on his world are not inside the webfield ... but anyway:
Anyone has an idea what happened? I mean donovans said noone can sweep
minefields (center covered by ionstorms), colonial fighters can sweep normal
minefields, but i have a webfield there no normal minefield.
Please gimme a hint!
Mydgard
This turn i had to lay additional 50 Mark 7 to hold the minefield on maximum
size (3 turns in ion storm now)

Hi Mydgard,
Colonials can sweep webmines with beams inside a ionstorm.
Not easy to know before you have experience from a game.
Best wishes,
