As my old 486 laptop has finally died (its only use was to play my planets
turns while I was away). I'm now left with no way of doing my turns unless I
get another laptop with I don't really want. I do have a iPAQ H3870 which
runs pocket PC 2002. I know the screen is a bit small and my turns may take
a little bit longer, but I'm willing to try before I get another old laptop.
Would it run?
Thx

What OS does it use? If it has any kind of DOS it might...

This is the 'JeodeRuntime Java VM' right?

The 'planets' java client you are looking for is probably
http://home2.inet.tele.dk/larsdam/jvc.html

Erm.. I don't know if this VM will run it. It probably doesn't qualify
as 'PersonalJava-compliant content'..

Anyone else?

Don't know for certain, but that sounds like web applets.
You may be able to get JVC to work on it tho with a little
effort. How much space does the pocket PC have? This could
be a useful experiment... it'd be fun to set a laptop-pocket PC
network for VGAP blitz games on long road trips.

As intruiging it may be; JVC requires at least 800x600, or better
1024x800. I don't think that pocket pc's have that display yet.

With some effort, it's possible to enhance JVC to be played on a
smaller display; but that will take some time to do that.

Well thank you all.
I the resolution of the iPAQ is 240x320 :( oh well may be another time.
I guess I'll be going out to buy a old laptop.
